Harbor freight has great items and I mostly always find what I’m looking for at a great price. However, today, the two cashiers demonstrated very poor customer service. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a store before. They appeared bothered that I returned an item. I would have at least appreciated being offered a replacement for the item, but they didn’t even offer that. I feel much more appreciated at the Turlock Harbor Freight. The Turlock staff are so courteous and welcoming, even when they answer the phone they are wonderful. I love going to the Turlock store because it’s a pleasant experience. So one star it is for this review.

I was actually surprised to find a garden hose there that I wanted and the garden hose was reasonably priced. Took my time to take a look around and was surprised at all Harbor Freight had to offer. I suggest you check them out.
Will definitely go back.

I love Harbor freight. I can always find all the things that you need and even deals with items that you don't need. And you always get coupons to bring the prices down for whatever you need. I got a great deal on my gas can. And got 4.00 dollars off on the micro cleaning clothes that I needed. Go check them and you'll find whatever you need and that some.

I freaking love harbor freight however just like any and every time I go shopping I instantly realize I shouldn't have spent that much but darn it I needed that extra sander and we don't have enough sockets laying around the house and oh sh;@&T we have to have that 19th roll of electrical tape it was on sale after all right!

Came here to purchase an item with the 25% coupon. Immediately the cashier said that the item might not be eligible to use with the coupon. She then told me that it can't be used with the coupon. Then checked again and said it works. She then told me that I needed the Inside Track Club membership to get the discount. She also told the person I was with (without even checking the system) that her item would not be eligible for use with the coupon.
I left without getting the item that I wanted to use the coupon with, because I thought that the fine print might have excluded it. Read the coupon again and nowhere did it say that it was excluded. Went back to the store for clarification and the lady made some excuse that the item was part of some Christmas sale and so it couldn't be used with the coupon. I checked online and my email and there were no other coupons for this item.
I believe this lady just wanted me to get the ITC membership which is why she told me I couldn't use the coupon on the item. This is shady and I will never shop at this Harbor Freight again. I ended up having to drive all the way to Turlock to purchase my items with the 25% coupon. The associate in Turlock had no issues applying the coupon to my item.
Lesson learned, do not shop at the Harbor Freight in Merced.
