“The staff is very friendly also everything that I have bought was good the vegetables are fresh n clean The young man who does check cashing is very friendly and efficient at what he does I’ve never had to wait in a long line like most places The meat department also have very helpful people working always making sure to let you know they will be right with you if they get too busy As for the store it is very clean smells good to not like most markets with musty smell Thank you for all the good you all do for the people of Merced and surrounding areas Have a great day!”

“This place has been around for a long time... Are used to go here on my lunch break because besides having a meat counter, all kinds of snacks/ice cream/chips, etc. they are basically a typical mini mart, but the thing that stands out about this place is they have a little area where they make food... They always have daily specials. It's mostly Mexican food but they also make sandwiches too... They have corn dogs, chicken tenders, that kind of thing, but their Mexican food is really good... their red salsa is Fire... it's very rare to find a place anymore that their salsa is hot so keep that in mind... It's the best salsa in this town if you like heat... they do nachos, burritos, tacos, and taco plate with beans and rice really good tortas... This place is off of Childs and R so it's off the beaten path.. up until the other day I had not been there for a while because I wasn't working at the same job, but my friend got a torta one day, and when she told me it was from there, I was like oh man I need to go back... So I did and even now that place is still packing it in... So many people are in that little store constantly... If you're looking for some fast, Mexican taco truck style food with good salsa, definitely recommend my”
“My favorite place for groceries, vitamins, and other ever changing merchandise. They have a good selection of organic and specialty foods. The wine department has some fine labels. I love the variety of items available.”
“Aside from them not having my favorite brand of pork rinds (they sell out so quickly) I love this shop. The staff are friendly courteous and knowledgeable. I haven't had them overcharge me (unlike at the shop next door "Shannons").They may not have the biggest or greatest selection but for a convenience / liquor / gas station / smoke shop, etc. store, I appreciate that they aren't overpriced despite their location on a busy highway - again unlike the neighboring store Shannons.I hope the next time someone tries to rob these guys they trip over their own feet and knock themselves unconscious as they hit the floor (:”

“I love this bookstore! The aisles and the books themselves are clean and unobstructed. Even better, the proprietor keeps them well-organized and in alphabetic order, where applicable, and has a great selection of both fiction and non-fiction. She greets you cheerfully, is happy to help you with your list if you have one, or leaves your to browse or read peacefully if that's what you want. I spent a pleasant 2 hours there and went home with a nice stack of books for my collection. What could be better than a store that sells you what you want and makes the shopping experience an enjoyable experience rather than a necessary evil!”

“Shop here happily once a week.Only complaint is not enuff selection of sugar free or low,no sugar added products. Given the diabetes prob in our country would appreciate more attention to provide a better selection or an entire designated area to this type of shopper.”

“Great place to get snacks, essential groceries, or a warm meal. I go here often to get things when I run out, to get snacks, or to get dinner for the night and it's always great. The people who work there are very nice and understanding, and I love the variety of items they sell, even some that I can't find in my usual grocery store.”

“I ALWAYS enjoy shopping at Save Mart in Merced and Atwater BUT the deli bakery in Merced leaves ALOT to be desired. Very rude, not helpful, ignore customers until we have to tell them to take care of the long lines!! Then they are rude because we interrupt their gossip sessions on what they have planned for the evening. I ask if they carried a certain product and was told NO, WE DONT HAVE THAT!! She neither checked or asked anyone but I did find it on my own and was told DELI carries it cut up!!! Needless to say I went elsewhere to buy it so they lost a $49 dollar sale. Atwater deli is better and will at least wait on you and try to help but often seems like they have worked long hours or just want to get out of there and no smiles, just tired looking. They are alot cleaner in Atwater. Merced needs to close down a few days and CLEAN THAT GREASE PIT!! The entire stores smells of old grease and it certainly does not give me an appetite for any of their chicken.”

“I love Save Mart's great selection of vegetables and fruits. If it's something uncommon I almost always find it here. Their meat dept. Is also quite nice, and they will cut meats to order if asked. Save Mart also has excellent sale prices on various items each week, but they aren't always particularly assiduous in maintaining their stock of those items during the stated time-frames of the sale, nor do they issue rain-checks for the missing items.”

“Best first experience in this store! I came for my eyebrow threading and left very satisfied. As soon as I came in I was acknowledged by Sandy and her husband, such delightful people.
