My dog needed to be seen fast to make sure he didn't get worse and they got him right in. Everyone was great and supportive, even the other patient parents and the UPS man.

Our Great Pyrenees, Stella is always clean and happy when I pick her up. So sad that they are already booked up for the holidays, because I was planning on having her stay there for a few days.

This vet is unethical. I did appreciate that the staff was really nice and the atmosphere of the waiting room and the patient rooms put me at ease. I also appreciated that the doctor did not shame me or try to create fear in me when I declined everything. The issue I have is the problem I have with almost all vets, especially urgent care and corporate owned clinics like this one: they insist on charging you for things you don't need. (And of course the prices are super high.) I've learned what tests I need and don't need from my vet, particularly after taking a dog to urgent care. My dogs had a fight the night before and one was limping, having trouble walking on her leg, and it was somewhat swollen. I expected x-rays but they wanted to sedate her for them. Even when I declined almost everything of the 1200 in tests (this would be before a splint or cast if that's what the X-rays showed I needed), I asked if they could clean up the wound (the leg was raw on part of it), they said they'd have to sedate her for it. I said I would do it myself. I asked for antibiotics and pain meds. The meds were very reasonable in price, woo-hoo! I realized after the vet left, she really didn't watch my dog walk around too much or ask about the fight. It's really hard to imagine how a fracture would have occurred, thinking about the fight, but she surely couldn't have known by glancing at my dog. I took my dog to my regular vet a couple days later, and the vet tech and I held my dog while they shaved around the wound and cleaned it up pretty easily.

One of my dogs needed urgent care after being attacked by another dog. They worked with my on the cost of care. My dog was well cared for and is recovering nicely. The people were very kind and you can tell they love animals.

I had to take my cat in yesterday for an emergency and they had made room for me. They were very informative and let me know every step of the way what was going on. They treated him with love and care and treated me with respect. Even stayed after hoursto help get my baby better. I think I found a new vet with Merced animal Medical Center

Been here 2 times. 1st time was for Parvo with my puppy. A tactic I thought was crooked was presenting the more expensive option first. They presented me a 1500$ estimate first then when I declined treatment they said since its required treament there is another option that was 500$ diy at home treament.
Second visit was for stitches. My dog needed stitches on her paw since she got cut while swimming. The estimate was about 850$ orignally but they included also a bloodwork test that was 150$. It was a since they were in there type test but I declined. I think they should not include it in the estimate and let it just be an add on. I think this is another example of a crooked technique. After the stitches she needed a bandage on her paw. I had 2 follow up appointments scheduled. One to check the bandage then one to remove the stitches. But at the first appointment I was charged for a new bandage which I was not aware was going to happen. I thought the main purpose of them removing it was because my dog chewed it and got it wet. I asked about when she was going heal. The desk tech just kept saying they would have to look at it in a few days and go from there. They rebandaged her about 3 times for a total around 75$. Each appointment they just took her in and rebandaged her, brought her back and said go pay up front and did not really give me an update or what was going to happen. On the last bandage appointment 1 day before her scheduled stitch removal appointment I contacted them and asked if they would be rebandaging her again and if so I would not be bringing her in because I did not want to be charged 100$ total for bandages. This bandage appointment did not make since because it would only be 1 day til the scheduled stitch removal appointment.
I only anticipated 2 appointments and no more additional charges after paying the full price for the stitches but what I got was an additional 75$ charge for bandages and 2 more appointments. If they communicated that I would be bandaging her up an additional 3 times and pay 75$ more dollars I would be happier. Since it was not clear from the beginning I felt lied to. I want to believe that vets care about animals and are not money hungry but after this I do not know. They will get the job done but be ready to pay a hefty price. Make the choice with your mind and not emotions. Vet bills are a big pill to swallow since they are just out of pocket payments with no insurance. Next time my dogs need treatment I will be contacting mulitple vets and asking for estimates.

My corgi opened and ate a small box of macadamia nuts. Was unable to stand the next morning. Merced Animal Medical Center immediately took her in, examined her, and came up with a treatment plan. Today(one day later) she is up ,walking again, and acting normal. Thank you Dr. Hayer!

It's hard to give an excellent rating, when everything is done from your car. There is o contact other than the nurse coming to your car. Covid has caused businesses to revert to no contact so, maybe later on down the line it will be better.
