This place is a one stop shop, with the most helpful, patient and kind staff. We've worked with Robin on a number of occasions as she's come to measure our windows for new treatments. She's superior at what she does and truly has an eye for detail. Robin is super knowledgeable and has amazing suggestions for any space in your home. We've also gotten some small fixtures from here and they are absolutely beautiful! Simplistic vases, and bowls, beautifully detailed accent pieces, it's really made each room more homey. Robin is amazing and you can't go wrong working with her- she's brilliant and really good at communicating through the whole process!

Happened in here yesterday for the first time. Really beautiful displays of furniture and accessories. I wish I needed something for our house right now because I know I'd find it here. I've watched a bunch of LA design shows where the designers take their customers to the coolest-looking stores. Now the Bay Area can have a design show, and the designers can shop here. :)

We worked with Derby about two years ago through a designer to select some furniture pieces. They were great to work with. Recently, we worked with them again on our own and we had an equally wonderful experience. The staff is not only highly knowledgeable but is also personable, easy to work with, and fun!

Our first experience with Derby was right after we built our house in Menlo Park in 2013. We hired their designer to help us finish our bedroom and she made an appointment to come out to the house but never showed up and never called or emailed. A few weeks later, I nervously went into the store and she recognized me and apologized for missing her appointment. It was awkward but no big deal. Mistakes happen. Fast forward 5 years to our most recent experience. We went in to the store to see if they could beat a competitor's price for 33 feet of full length custom drapes (a very expensive design choice!). It appeared they could so we enthusiastically decided to proceed. We picked our fabric and set up an appointment to have the room measured. Their measurer is also their installer so he came out to the house to measure the walls. He seemed confused that we wanted the drapes to cover the whole wall and not just the windows. He questioned why we would want to do this which seems odd (and slightly offensive) since he was questioning the aesthetics of our decision. The neutral colored drapes were to be installed on the long and short wall in the master bedroom. The panels would meet in the corners so that the look would be continuous. This would give us more flexibility for arranging the furniture in the room. He still did not approve of our decision to do this. He seemed to be actually annoyed that we wanted to do it! He took the measurements and he left and a few days later I got an email from Derby informing us that they "would not be able to meet our needs" and our order was canceled. I wrote them back and asked if they had another installer who might have a more open mind but they never even returned my email. So, all of our experiences with this store have been a huge letdown and a waste of time. I wasn't going to leave a review but last weekend they called and left a phone message asking me to return the little 4 inch square of sample fabric that they had ordered for me! That really was the last straw. Their customer service is so horrible that it is actually funny!
