Stopped in the Staples store today. Xavier - who claimed to be a manager - was at the register and wouldn't let me complete my transaction until he signed me up for "rewards" program. I guess they must get some sort of bonus for new sign ups? I was already signed up, but he claimed I wasn't. He was rude when I said I shouldn't have to sign up for anything, and when I asked to speak to a manager, Xavier claimed he was the manager at the time. Some customer service training is necessary here. Yikes.

This is a store with a split personality, which explains the 1 and 5 star reviews. A question is, do you want to deal with a split personality type of store? One day people are friendly. On other days one is treated like garbage (body language, facial expression, voice tone, what is said restricted to short, terse utterances...AND not all the content is true, but rather, limits access to products and promotions). Consistent with other reviews, management can be much worse than staff. And consistent with other reviews, treatment seems to vary based on what "type" of person one is perceived as being. There are also "better" days when one is not being treated like garbage, but rather receives zero help while people of other "types" receive a plethora of help. And this, my friends, is why my carbon footprint is going to get a tad bigger...

Was loving this location for the Amazon returns but the last few times I've come by the returns counter has not been staffed. Very frustrating. The store is otherwise decently stocked and convenient for picking up supplies in a pinch.

I was on a rather quick timeline with a holiday print order, and the print team at this location could not have been more helpful with my order and patient with me. Aleksandr is professional, efficient and personable! I had made a mistake on my initial print submission, but Aleksandr took time and effort to quickly resolve the issue. Thank you!

I got my laptop and printer here and bought a guarantee with them. Now, when I called, they tell me they do not do any laptop or printer repair. So what good was their guarantee it they don't offer service when it is needed. Their guarantee is worthless and just a way to make more money. Avoid this place!

This place, while convenient, is often stuffy. If you plan on printing from here, be sure to send things to yourself beforehand because the WiFi is not strong, and you will have little to no reception. They have all your office needs including snacks. It can be a bit more expensive than what I'd like but they have what you need. Do yourself a favor and avoid this area during rush hour traffic. It is madness.

Regarding Staples located at 700 El Camino, Menlo Park, watch out for a scam the manager tries to pull. The manager dashed out of his office after we finished paying for two different kinds of office chairs today and I was already loading one of them in the car. He told my wife (and later to me) that we should buy insurance for the chairs because look what happened to his office chair in only 6 months and the quality of them is no longer good. A large part of the headrest had missing "fabric." Quite an unusual place for severe wear! I asked the cashier if they have a quota to meet for selling the insurance. "Not really" - well that equals a yes. Don't fall for it.

Worst customer service ever! Manager there is unfriendly, rude snd treats the clients poorly. I attempted to return a three hundred dollar item I purchased for my mother. If you return an item one day over two weeks from purchase they refuse it. They do not disclose this policy when you make a purchase They treat you badly for even asking terrible customer service

The young man Xavier at the front counter was awesome!!! Greeted me with enthusiasm as I walk in the store , he is a great example of a young man !!!! Very positive experience!!!

Had to pick up some items for site and for someone that's not the most tech efficient, they made it incredibly easy. Something about a wall of printer toner that makes me want to go in the other direction. I brought in a pic of our printer and they did the rest from finding what I need down to how much needed/bundle price based on how much we print. Great customer service here!

The Staples is fine, but the UPS shipping and print department is run by the laziest bunch of incompetent idiots you'll ever come across. Time in time I've gone there for the most basic simple jobs and it is nearly impossible to get anyone to help you, answer any of your questions. COMPLETELY and TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE! I've actually watched people in line throw up their hands in disgust and walk out.I will never ever use their services again.

I created my holiday cards online & picked up in store next day! Diana & the store manager was professional and efficient. Best service @ any staples I've been too. I have two donut shops, and asked about their printing services & and if their prices were competitive. The store manager told me the prices are competitively priced & turn around time is usually 48-72 hrs on most promo items. Well, this beats the online services that I always use cause I have to wait for shipping or pay xtra to expedite orders. Will come back to try out their printing services soon. Highly recommend this location!

Scheduled TSA pre check three times at this store. Each time they cancelled on the day or the day before. What a joke! Why offer this service if you don't want to do it. There was atleast a week between each time I tried, so they can't give me the excuse that their systems were down or some other rubbish. Terrible service.
