These folks are a mess! When you get a prescription filled by the compounding facility (out of state), they usually can't "find it." By the way, you're lucky if they even bother to call when it is received in the pharmacy. They always claim they've notified the customer, but phone records don't lie. Now, some of the staff has even become disrespectful and even rude to customers.

I went in to the store wearing my KN-95 mask to try to buy a product and the clerk yelled at me for being closer than 6 feet away from her and then told me that the product was online only. I asked about Covid boosters and was told that I had to sign up online. So I went to Costco and signed up online for my booster there and I found the calcium I was looking for at Whole Foods. Never going back!

Awful awful customer service. My husband and I came in on a Sunday afternoon. Not a single other customer in the store. Yet, the sole customer service person could not be bothered to wait on us and gave us both dirty looks. We left and won't return.

I have been a customer of the traditional pharmacy for several years. I wanted a local pharmacy with good customer service. I found it here. And then, things changed. Sometime in 2020 or 2021, the pharmacy staff turned over. The previously excellent customer service deteriorated, more and more every month. Sometime in October 2021, I got someone on the phone who clearly had no idea what she was doing. I wanted to check on a renewal, and she couldn't even find my records. In the latest debacle, Pharmaca said my insurance wouldn't cover a recent renewal until sometime after my current supply ran out. The insurance company said Pharmaca had made a claim, then reversed it. The next call, Pharmaca said I was out of renewals. Finally my doctor's office had to call them to straighten it out. I am looking for a new pharmacy. Their auto-renewal system has always been problematic. It waits too long to decide you need a renewal, so if the doctor must renew, the message does not get sent until right before (or after) your current supply runs out. It sometimes takes several days to notify you your prescription has been filled. I have complained and asked if I could set a preference to request renewals a week earlier, and they said it was impossible.

My wife works at a boutique downtown once a week. Said we should move our prescriptions from Safeway to Pharmaca. Shop local. I agreed and had my next prescription sent their way. I had shopped there before and had a good experience. This time unfortunately i did not have such a good experience. I waited for what felt like an eternity. (Over 30 min) The two employees at the counter looked like they were brand new. Which of the case would be fine - if they were being trained... Not the case just slow. Super slow. They also were simply NOT nice. I called my wife and said never again. I don't like to write anyone off with just one visit so I sent another prescription over. Fast forward. Same experience. Short like that took over 30 min to work through. Whoever manages and/or trains the pharmacy employees needs a new training manual. We had a third unfortunate circumstance, I had just had a small procedure and needed a prescription on the way home. We hadn't changed back to Safeway yet so we had to go to Pharmaca. I wasn't going in after the procedure so my wife had to. 45 min later my wife came out - shaking she was so frustrated. So for sure - NEVER will we go back to Pharmaca for our prescription. Highly recommend you shop Safeway Pharmacy on El Camino. They are friendly and very efficient.

I really like the products Pharmaca offers, but the service makes it hard to be a loyal customer. Another reviewer said they feel as though they're "unwelcome" or a "burden". Same.

I love the vitamins, makeup and people who work here. They have both a traditional pharmacy and alternative medicine practitioners. Joanna in particular knows a lot about vitamins. I have even called with questions about vitamins and she was able to help me figure out which ones weren't right for me! Overall great experience every time i come here.

I love Pharmaca in general but the customer service at this location is lacking because of one employee who is especially unfriendly and rude! When I ask her a question she just says "I don't know" and it makes me feel so unwelcome or like I'm a burden! The pharmacists have always been lovely, that's why I go there. However, whenever I see that employee I try to avoid her, I Google my questions or try to check out at the pharmacy counter. The 3/5 is for her. I'd give a 5/5 for the store, the kind employees and the helpful pharmacists.

I am a Pharmaca regular. A few of the many reasons I go to Pharmaca is because of the extraordinary customer service. I have a complicated medical condition that needs expert partnership with the pharmacist and pharmacy staff. And they are indeed extraordinary and have made the challenges of navigating my situation more manageable with their expertise, timeliness and kind and gentle dispositions. The store staff, specifically Maggie, Joanne, Emma and Hannah - are extraordinary as well. Their knowledge of organic products from shampoo to herbal supplements has enhanced my health and that of my family. I feel as though I am family when I come in the door - with warm greetings and continuing threads of conversations that we engage in because we have known one another for a long time. I know if I need help - that it is always available. And if not - just a warm smile and friendly people always brighten my day.

I have been a patron at this Pharmaca location for years and now drive a longer distance to spend my prescription money here. As I have done successfully many times this time of year, I walked in today seeking a flu shot. The sign at the rear entrance when I entered read that "walk-ins are welcome." When I asked for a flu shot, I was told in an unfriendly manner that I needed to make an appointment and that the appointments today were booked. Though the manner and the answer did not sit well with me, I understand why making an appointment in these times may be more necessary. My issue here is that I certainly did not feel welcome and I think that the sign is false advertising. There is definitely room for improvement with this location when it comes to customer experience.

I would give zero stars if possible. I used the automated refill request system to request two refills. I tried to pick up my refills *the late afternoon of the following day* (at least 36 hours to fill the prescriptions). I was told that one had been filled and I could wait around for the other to be filled. No apology, no explanation. I did. It have the time to wait 15 minutes so I had to leave without my medication. Again, no apologies, no explanation.

I've only visited Phamaca twice since it opened years ago. I won't be going back. I was looking for a specific item: I hoped to find free and clear shampoo and conditioner - not any particular brand, just products free of the additives that can cause dermatitis. I finally found a staff person to ask if there were any such products in the store. She replied "I have no idea. You'll just have to read the labels." Wow.

Love the organic medicines and the European feel of the place, and you can also get vaccines. Will look for one near my new home in Southern California
