I booked a room for May 7, 2024 on March 11, 2024. While I was in flight unbeknownst PJ canceled my reservation because management said they “overbooked.” So let me get this straight a reservation that’s confirmed two months prior is no longer available the day of arrival. Please make this make sense. Then they had the never placed me in a different hotel that was approximately 30 feet away from a frequent, roaring, bell ring, window rattling commuter's train. NEVER AGAIN PJ NEVER AGAIN!

Every time I'm in Menlo Park for work, I've always been curious about The Park James Hotel. Having finally stayed there, it absolutely exceeded my expectations! From the moment you step inside, the attention to detail in the rooms, lobby, and dining areas is immediately apparent. The decor exudes the elegance of a boutique Four Seasons hotel, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Situated conveniently off El Camino Real, the hotel's location is ideal. The staff, especially our bartender Eddie, was exceptionally personable. General Manager Lyle also made a memorable impact by ensuring our stay was perfect. I'm already looking forward to my next stay at The Park James Hotel when I return to Menlo Park

I recently stayed at this hotel, thought I found a hidden gem. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Despite being promised a late check-out when booking over the phone, the hotel didn’t honor this arrangement during my stay. Additionally, there was an agreement to charge my car, which was not fulfilled.
The unmet commitments resulted in an overall poor experience. The inconsistency between what was promised during the booking process and the actual service provided was disappointing. The hotel is cute and well designed but the staff didn’t fit the standard.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Park James, a boutique hotel, and I must say, the staff's hospitality exceeded my expectations!
Lyle and Trisha’s warm welcome, attention to detail and accommodations made me feel truly valued. Their personal attention to me as a guest new to the area superseded all expectations.
The accommodations were not only stylish but also exceptionally comfortable, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The facilities were well-maintained and thoughtfully designed, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend this boutique hotel for a delightful stay that combines excellent service, charming accommodations, and top-notch facilities.
When I visit Menlo college to watch my son play, Park James hotel will be my home away from home for years to come!

Loved staying here! The hotel was clean and had a unique decor that was fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a large group dinner that they had no issue accommodating us. The food and service were great!

Everything was perfect during my 2 night stay, in one of their king suit.They even had a decorated Christmas tree set up!Wonderful staff, food and drinks, room service was wonderful too. Nice area too.Attached is a photo of the cute Santa hats they had on their bottles at the bar.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. After my stay, I received a $575 'smoking' charge. I absolutely did not smoke in the room and have no way to dispute the charge because there is some 3rd party device that detects this and claimed there was THC/Cigarette smoking. I would be willing to undergo any drug testing or testing for cigarette smoke as I do not partake in either and do not smoke anything period.I am shocked that this charge was applied and will never stay in the hotel again--this feels like a scam by the hotel.

Went as part of a wedding group. Excellent service.

Nearby activities: Restaurants in the area are all walking distance .
Food & drinks: Excellent service. Evenings the hotel restaurant was filled with techie group meetings. Great bar!
