The cashiers at the takeria are very distracted, you ask them for sauces, they don't add them and they give more ice than fresh in the drinks...and they are very unfriendly

$8.99 per lb. for guayabas ... That's 410 MXN pesos per kilo, and in Mexico, they're like 30-50 pesos per kilo. That's more than a 10x markup. Ridiculous price gouging

Mabe it's the Latin in me but Chavez has as long as I can remember made the best carnitas in redwood city and beyond!Yes this is a blow to a local restaurant but pound for pound Chavez will kick your *ss. Friendly staff clean store what more can be said.

Their Taqueria is amazing. I lived for 12 years in Guadalajara and I'd I'm feeling like getting some real Mexican food I know that Chavez will always be a good choice.
