I've purchased hundreds of cigars at BevMo. The manager in Menlo Park would not open the glass for me to select as I see fit to choose. Instead he stood over me with glove. Maybe he wanted to give me a prostate exam. Never buy cigars at BevMo.

Menlo Park store was closed for a feed months due to sales to minors!!! Kinda crazy since they always have cared me and I'm 56 But I'm happy they are back in business! It's so much bigger than Redwood City and on my way home!!!

Drivers licenses being scanned in order to spend my money at your store? No! I'm NOT okay with this. I'll not enter another Bev Mo as long as this is mandatory. As a matter of fact, I'm licking Total Wine Stores more & more. That's who's getting my business.

They wouldn't/couldn't accept my passport card as a valid ID. I recently lost my DL and only had that with me. Apparently this location had been shut down for selling to minors hence this finicky requirement that applies to this store only. I ordered online and they had no way to cancel my order/refund me on the spot. They had to contact customer service via email with no specific resolution, which was truly the most annoying part. So not only did I have to go somewhere else, it's unknown when I will get refunded. The sales person seemed nice enough and was apologetic but the whole trip ended up being a disaster. I usually shop at Total Wines due to their better pricing and larger selection but this BevMo was near another stop I had to make. Also the 375mL of Casamigos was on sale for $30.99 from $34.99 (it's $27.99 at Total Wines) and I needed this bottle specifically for a gift. Lesson learned, stick to Total Wines!

This store is currently closed due to a suspended license. It was great while open, but looks like it'll be closed until November.

Always a fav of mine to try to new scotch or whiskeys as they have small samplers so you don't have to commit to a lot of $ before you give it a go with a sampler first.Got the Glenlivet 12 and the Slane Irish Whiskey this time around. The Glenlivet was very nice and enjoyable. The Slane... well... I think I will stick to Jameson's if I go Irish whiskey.

Went in and needed help. No one was on the shop floor. There were 2 guys behind a wooden wall, stood trying to get their attention, even said excuse me. No response..... Then one of the guys was at the counter and I said excuse me and was ignored.So....i left and went to their competitor. If you dont like your job dont take it out on the customer....

Reliably good, mid range inventory, fairly priced and nicely well organized. Proper staffing levels, easy parking.... What more do you need?

I had a complicated return problem following an online purchase during es which I had ordered too many bottles. Margarita was very helpful, friendly and competent to solve the issue.

BevMo now scans your drivers license, when you make a purchase. Checking ID is one thing but this is a major intrusion of privacy. So I'm shopping elsewhere

This is not against the staff at Bevmo Redwood City, this is about a company policy Bevmo instituted.I went in today to purchase Torani Italian syrup and some sparkling water, no alcohol whatsoever. The cashier IMMEDIATELY asked for my ID, my ID I said but why, he didn't explain, so I asked again, why? I'm 62 years old and I'm not even buying any alcohol? Then another employee stepped in and explained that there was an incident and it is now company policy to ask for everyone's ID, regardless of the purchase This is not good! It seems that Bevmo is providing Cover Our Own A** Service instead of Customer Service. Nobody asks for this, not liquor stores, supermarkets, I mean nobody... All this because of one incident, one underage person who got away with buying some alcohol and now we are all subject to this nonsense, this is ridiculous and I will not be shopping there anymore. It's really too bad, the store is local to me but I guess I'll have to drive to the nearest Total Wine or Costco. Oh well, their loss...!!!
