I want to like Angela. I really do. Whereas the majority of their highly curated clothes aren't my style, it's their special cashmere sweaters and variety of Herno that lure me through their doors. However, the customer service is atrocious. The first time I visited in December, I was largely ignored until I brought my $1,500 worth of purchases to the register. End of day, holiday season...I get it. I'd want to go home too. But I asked nothing of you as a sales person and was in and out in less than 20m. Fast forward to yesterday. I walked in and my presence wasn't even acknowledged. The sales ladies were busy opening a bottle of celebratory wine and fawning over a husband and wife who were at the tail end of a $5K shopping spree. As I perused the clothes, I found a number of beautiful things that I wanted to try on--however, I could not justify spending good money in a place where I am not treated with a modicum of respect. I have always believed in supporting small businesses--especially boutiques, but Angela will not be added to my rotation. I will stick to Cielo, Blu, Phyllis and Shunzi.
