I love it, it's big and spacious. Such a nice library for such a small city. I like how it's conveniently about a mile away from me makes it easier to go to the library.

I was pretty spoiled with my last hometown library in Scottsdale Az but I'm not so sure that the Menifee Sun City California branch has any shortcomings, except Architecture and size. With Libraries size maters but the SC branch is fair sized. What I like least about the SC branch is the noise. sometimes it's crazy loud almost defining. Even the basic conversations in the lobby carry loudly throughout the interior. I am sure it has to do with the Architecture, but I have never seen a clerk or security guard ask anyone to lower their voice. Warning if you are old school and like the library quiet you will be frustrated here. This branch doesn't have a librarian it has a branch manager and I'm not sure that maters except it surprised me. As far as the rest of the staff they range from brilliant to brain dead, but mostly on the brilliant professional side. Like the La Piedra branch this branch has a very large staff including full time security. SC branch offers a ton of programs and services, it seems something is always going on and for me it's a great community outlet. The library is always clean, and furnishings are in great shape and modern. The internet service is its weak point as not all devices can access the free internet. I would think this would be a priority but its been months so who knows what's going on. There are public computers but with strict time limits and requests for extra time often not available. Menifee is a fairly new town with a big lack of community services/ amenities, but its best is by far The Sun City Library.

Good little library with dvds of classic shows, computers, and a used bookstore. Too bad public wifi no longer exists. You are forced to use the terminals which are good for only two 1hr sessions.

I read a lot. If I had to pay retail I couldn't afford it. I visit the used book section of the library on a weekly basis. At 50 cents a book I can read as much as I want. I like mystery books by Stuart Woods and James Patterson And the Scarpeta books by Patricia Cornwall. Usually I can find one or the other. The volunteer staff is so friendly and obviously enjoy their volunteer job. I read the books and return them so someone else can enjoy them. Visiting this shop is one That I look forward to every time.I am so glad they are there.

My friend made a reservation the day after Christmas 2021. All the employees did was watch us to the point where we felt targeted. I don't want to say it was good ole' racism but it surely felt like it. There were NO reservations but ours in the study room the entire day yet two different Caucasian female employees felt compelled to keep coming in there about every little thing. I put my mask down to take a sip and the employee is on her way in there to say something about that. By the time she made her way in there, my mask was up so she gives me a thumbs up. Well right outside, a man was on the computer for over three hours looking up trump information and other inappropriate stuff. Why aren't you watching them on the computer? Why didn't you ask for our library card or ID when the reservation was made if "policies" are so important? I spoke to Gail Sorensen, the supervisor who made excuses and got annoyed with me. Now I see why your employees behave this way. Very disappointing and I won't be going back to this servicing the PUBLIC establishment.
