If you want good cost, schedule, and performance, an excellent choice would be to check in with Mario Tobar at Action Landscape Contractor. We just purchased a new home in Riverside and needed to enhance our front yard and transform the completely bare backyard to something that we could enjoy after work and on weekends. We spent a few weeks drawing and revising our vision before seeking multiple bids. One contractor bid only to our plans with minimal questions, another came across as if we were just another job and he was doing us a favor, and then there was Action Landscape Contractor. Mario spent the time to understand our plans and desires by asking questions and only then in some cases suggesting some improvements. Although not always accepted, Mario's suggestions were always thoroughly discussed as to their pros and cons, sometimes improved upon, often accepted, and demonstrated an interactive partnership that supported a continued learning experience for us both throughout the job.Our job included the following services:1. Standard grey brushed finished concrete to expand front driveway and walkways as well as create walkways, patio, stepping pads, and curbs in the backyard.2. Colored and stamped concrete to create a beautiful "wood" deck for the backyard.3. Install retaining wall using pre-cast concrete blocks along an entire side of the back yard.4. Integrate with and expand our surface drainage system, required to maintain our home warranty by the builders.5. Extend the natural gas lines to support two places for the BBQ as well as a fire pit on our new "wood" deck.6. Install new irrigation lines and integrate with existing controller to support drip irrigation for plants and popup sprinklers for the lawn.7. Expand water and electrical service to support hose bibs and electrical sockets in several places in the back yard.8. Install new sod lawn.9. Purchase and plant trees and plants.10. Install weed cloth under wood chips, landscaping rock, and boulders.11. Install aluminum patio cover with lights and fans.12. Coordinating permits and inspections from both city and county. The inspector, a licensed contractor himself, complimented and thanked Mario for his work before telling me that such workmanship makes his job very easy.13. Incorporating changes with ease when they arise. As an experienced DIY guy, who has used heavy equipment during landscaping, this job appeared to be big; however, Mario said considering his job portfolio, this was a straight forward medium sized effort.Action Landscape Contractor can handle your landscaping needs whether you have an existing plan or need one to be created.
