I would like to thank the members of the Wildlife Care Association for being so courteous and professional. They have a tough job full of both hope and I'm sure too much despair.Recently, I brought an injured squirrel to their site, I had no way of taking care of the little guy. Although I am not aware of the outcome of the patient, I trust that the Wildlife Care Association made the right decision for the squirrel. It's really amazing work they do there and please remember to have your pets spayed or neutered so these good people don't have to make the tough choices that our negligence results in.I'm not judging people here I realize there are situations that happen in our lives but these animals deserve our due diligence in preventing the pain that they must feel being without a real home.Thank you again for the opportunity you gave the squirrel and I thank you for all you do to support our community, and are pet cousins.Respectfully Yours,Aaron Paul

I have dropped off two injured birds here in the past (a crow and a tanager), and also worked here as a volunteer for about a year. For the most part my experience was very good - I was trained in how to feed baby birds up in the Nursery, and then how to care for sick and injured animals down in Triage. The animals received fantastic care and most of the staff and other volunteers were easy to work with. The only exception to this was one of the Animal Care supervisors, initials KS. (This was a few years back, and I don't think she even works here anymore). She was unkind and abrasive a lot of the time, and made me feel incompetent and stupid whenever I made a mistake or was unsure about how to do something. She came across as someone who didn't have a lot of patience for volunteers.Back then I wasn't good at self-advocacy and assumed all conflict was my fault, so unfortunately the more unkind she was to me the harder I tried to appease her and do a good job. But it never changed anything. So one day I couldn't take it anymore and just let the Volunteer Coordinator know I wasn't going to be volunteering anymore. It took another year or two after I left for me to realize that it wasn't my fault that the supervisor had chosen to treat me that way.Even though I left here due to being made to feel unwelcome, I don't want to dock WCA any more than just a star for that, since the work they do is really incredible and most of the people here are kind.

Take any non-pet animals to them. Animal control referred me to them for a possum I (my dog) caught (it survived with minimal injury).Great place! Also, donate then your unused pet supplies!

Very nice people. FYI Google maps will take you to a fenced in dead end so if you need to go make sure to take Dudley.

I found a baby bird, I was so worried because it wasn't eating. So I turned it in here. I hope they help it out grow and release it back to live free!

We found a super small baby squirrel in our yard and didn’t know what to do. It was a Saturday and didn’t know if anywhere would be open. Wildlife association was!! They reassured us she would be fine, putting her in an incubator for warmth and feeding her formula from a syringe. Even today, they’re still super communicative, sharing videos of her eating/getting bigger, and letting us know the plan to release her as a teen along with other squirrels her age. Thank you, Wildlife Care Association!!
