10/10 recommend this school. Roxanne is such a genuine person, really enjoyed going to her makeup school. I took hair and makeup classes here. She also has master classes with celebrity makeup artists. She truly does care about her students. Glow makeup academy also helped me with the mentorship program and expanding my social media presence. This school provides a full support system from its many talented instructors. I’m forever thankful for all the amazing people I have met taking these classes and I cannot wait for the next course. ?

I had a one on one class with Toni and I'm so glad I did. She was so sweet and patient with all my questions. I felt like I was learning with a friend. I left feeling more confident in how to do my everyday makeup, now I just need to practice :) thanks Toni!

So today I graduated from @glowmuasAnd wanted to share that glow is super professional yet super friendly. @reina.roxanne is the owner and director. She is very kind and helpful. She took care of my all makeup needs ( providing me makeup that was not in my kit, providing me model) Not only that she goes out of her ways to support her students. I had fun during the classes and learnt many new makeup techniques. Roaxannne is the owner and still she is very approachable. I would love to join them again for another makeup course. @glowmuas is the best makeup academy providing Mac makeup and bestest of best educator ?

This review is long overdue.I took my first class at Glow back in October 2022. It was an SFX class. The teacher was Devin. She is an amazing instructor and she loves her craft. You can see it in her teaching. I've learned so much from Devin such as application, safety, and longevity of your SFX look. She uplifts her students. In the class I took, there were many beginners in FX makeup, but there were students who were already MUA's. In Devin's live demos of a makeup application. She spoke in such a way that even the newest person to SFX makeup would be able to understand and executed the look both in and out of class. Earlier this year 2023 I decided to take the makeup master course with Brittany. She is a phenomenal instructor. She is very strict and demands a lot out of her students which is to be expected from a master course instructor. She taught us time management and how to uphold the clientele's vision with the upmost professionalism. She goes into depth as to how to create certain looks from soft glam to editorial. She has many years of experience under her belt and she's willing to share her knowledge. All you need to do as her student is pay attention and ask questions. You can see the love of her craft in her teaching and in how she just speaks about makeup. I look forward to taking her seminar on bridal later this month. The kits that glow provides you with for each class are specifically designed to help you succeed in the class of your choosing. In both classes i've received some staple tools that I use in my freelancing kit. I am a licensed cosmetologist. I have 12 years under my belt, doing makeup now on and off for about 9 years. I took both classes to enhance my abilities and I've already seen it pay off. The staff is great. The environment is great your fellow classmates will not be seen as competition in this facility. They will be seen as partners, as friends, as your new MUA family, honestly, I believe that that credit goes to Roxanne, the owner (who is also an MUA) for how she runs both locations. She is very approachable and she wants nothing more than for her students to succeed and for her instructors to really love what they're doing. I've only taken the class with Devin and Brittany, but I've also heard great things about the other instructors from fellow classmates

I highly recommend glow makeup studio if you are interested in learning how to do makeup and hair. I just finished my classes for makeup and hair. I had an amazing experience at glow. I was nervous at first but they made me feel very comfortable there. I definitely gained more confidence. Thanks to Roxanne and Devin, both of them are very positive and helpful. I'm so glad to have them as my teacher.

My first experience with an SFX class was with Glow Makeup Studio in Downey. I recently retired from working as an RN in the Emergency / Trauma after 25 years. SFX has always been an interest for me. I called the studio and spoke with Roxanne, the business owner. We set an appointment for an interview and orientation of her studio, She was very informative and wasn't pushy with any sales pitches. She was honest, friendly and professional. Roxanne was so encouraging and approachable so I signed up for the SFX class immediately and honestly I was not disappointed. The SFX instructor / MUA Devin was amazing! She is a spectacular artist! Our makeup kits were generously supplied with the tools we needed with top of the line products and brushes. The classes were fun and informative and Devin was extremely patient and supportive from start to finish with me and each student. This class gave me the confidence and push I was looking for and I knew from the beginning that I made a perfect choice to break in to SFX! Roxanne is a talented MUA and business owner and she is very much in tune with the clients / students needs. I continue to stay in touch with such a talented and respectable business.

Excellent experience! They are supper nice friendly, knowledgeable and patient.Real makeup Artists. They actually care that you learn and not all about the money. I love the smaller group classes, more one on one. Ricky (instructor) is extremely professional easy to communicate with highly skilled makeup artist. His work is truly flawless. The entire staff has an amazing spirit and is positive. Will 100% recommend. Looking to take more classes with them.

I do not recommend this place at all. They do horrible make-up. I had the worst experience! They applied so much make-up and made me look like frankenstein the shade they used on my foundation was way off also my make-up was so cakey. I had to drive somewhere else to get my make-up redone. Save ur money and go somewhere else.

Dont come here lol they are so bad, cant even let a guest in… i came with my girlfriend and they told me i couldn’t be inside waiting for her because its small yet they have a guest room with 2 empty chairs and a long bench. To top it off its over 95 degrees and they made me and my little brother wait outside.

This course was so refreshing and inspiring after a year and half of not being able to work in the salon, I took the skills and applied them to clients and brides alike. I am so happy to have found Glow Makeup Art Studio. Roxanne is super sweet, down-to-Earth, and professional. She did an amazing job with my hair and make-up for my cousin's wedding today. I am super stoked at how she applied my makeup while keeping my natural beauty; the application was flawless. My beach waves are amazing. I cannot get over the fact that Roxanne knocked it out of the park with my make-up and hair. I am super happy! She also offers make-up classes. I highly reccomend her if you need makeup done for any occasion or would like to learn how to apply make-up. ?❤

knowledgeable ,professional affordable, positive clean environment. very knowledgeable instructor an amazing School I enjoyed every day going to class and if I didn't understand something my instructors work with me until I did. I learned so much from glow Academy.
