I have used this pharmacy since moving to Martinez 9 years ago. I never used to have any problems with them. Over the past few years things have gone completely down hill. Pharmacists change frequently, mysteriously my prescriptions that I know my doctor phoned in, are not there. The pharmacy promises to call the dr and follow up on prescriptions only to find when I call my doctor, the PHARMACY NEVER CALLED. The staff of the past few years clearly do not like their jobs. They are among the rudest people I have encountered. Today was the last straw for me. I am looking for a new pharmacy with people who will interact with me, not treat me like I am disturbing their work day. On one occasion they refused to fill a pain med for my husband after his surgery because they felt the dr over prescribed for the situation. REALLY? The surgeon had to call the pharmacy to get them to fill the prescription for us. I am done. I would not even give them one star.

Prescription sent to this pharmacy. They didn't have it. No call no notice. Went to pickup they said the fastest was send to the other Safeway pharmacy and it would be ready by the time I got there. Nope. It was not even started yet.

I wish Yelp had zero stars. I don't think I've ever had a more horrible experience. It took over 7 phone calls, the staff (every single person I spoke with) was horribly rude (downright hostile), I was told the situation was resolved, went in to pick up the medication, and then was told they were not going to fill it. WHY didn't they just say that in the first place? From now on, I'll stick the the CVS Pharmacy. Been going there for years, and Bernie, the pharmacist, is AMAZING. Don't waste your time with these awful humans and lack of customer service.

I have used this pharmacy since moving to the bay area over 20 years ago. I used to love them. Over the past few years things have gone completely down hill. Pharmacists change frequently, they have made mistakes more than once on billing, they are not helpful and are unable to explain things. Quite often I've had to come back to pick up a prescription because they don't have enough of whatever it is. I keep saying I'll switch and I've just been too lazy but after my experience today I'm definitely switching. Today was the second time they basically told me Doctors don't know what they are doing.

Worst service, kept placing me on hold, not really willing to help me fill my medicine. I had to ask them to check their messages because they told me nothing was called in when I knew it was. Took All day and I spent the whole day in pain.

Tried to fill a prescription last second (day before) and pick it up the second the pharmacy opened (9am) before I went in to we. It sadly hadn't magically appeared. Pharmacy Manager Elizabeth gave me a 3 day supply, so I wouldn't run out. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Literally could not be happier unless she was able to magically make the whole month's supply appear.

Probably one of the worst Safeways you could go to. Only come here if you absolutely have to.
