Diablo Dog
725 Alhambra Ave, MartinezDiablo Dog has been a gift for my Covid golden retriever pup Koa, who is now five years old. Koa was able to go on amazing group hikes and be socialized with other dogs. It is such a convenience to have him dropped off and picked up from our home. For the last few years we have been lucky enough to have Koa boarded with Matt (the owner) who Koa loves! Koa is always so well taken care of and happy. Koa has also been trained by the amazing Anthony! He has attended the Dog Day Academy Days. We have gotten so many compliments since then about how much calmer and well-behaved he is on a leash. There has been less barking too! Anthony is so positive and kind with Koa. I have also used the scheduled and last minute potty breaks when Koa has needed to be let out. Diablo Dog is always so caring to accommodate me with whatever Koa needs. They are truly the best!!!

Just Food For Dogs
Inside Pet Food Express, 500 Center Ave, MartinezWe started coming to PFE in Martinez when we adopted our new puppy Brodie. The food he was on when we adopted him was causing him troubles so we went into PFE and Rachel taught us so much about dog food, I had zero clue about! I left feeling extremely knowledgeable about dog food and a strategy for our Brodie! We are two weeks into the new food post transition and all of our concerns/issues we were having with Brodie are gone and he is feeling so much better! I am so grateful for Rachel taking her time to educate us and help us make the best choice for our Brodie! Thank you PFE

Muir Oaks Veterinary Hospital
1180 Muir Rd, MartinezMuir Oaks has been the best vet we have gone to. This is saying a lot because we have moved often and gone to at least 7 different vets in the last 6 years. They are great fantastic for veterinary care and they are amazing for boarding. My dog was extremely aggressive to most people and dogs, but here she was able to connect with the staff and feel more comfortable. They also comforted us when we unfortunately had to put her down. They gave us the kindness we needed and treated us like we really lost a family member, which we did. If I still lived in the area, I would be a lifelong client.

William Welch Wines
837 Main St, MartinezI loved EVERY SINGLE wine in our tasting!! Being a California Native to the Bay, I have done my fair shair of tastings in Napa and Sonoma Counties. Not a single winery every had a tasting in which I loved every single one!
William Welch Wines is family owned and the owner Steve takes amazing special care to craft the most amazing flavors in his wines both red and white.
If you haven't stopped by, you definitely need to! There's no reason to drive to Napa or Livermore, amazing wine is right here in Martinez!

Brix & Craft, Craft Cocktails Wine & Artisan Pizza
718 Main St, MartinezThis is such an awesome spot in downtown Martinez! I've always had positive experiences here and even hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband, and Corey made sure it was seamless from start to finish. He and Haley handled everything impeccably, and all the guests were impressed with the quality of the food and drinks. It was a fun time!

Mountain Grounds
3750 Alhambra Ave #2, MartinezI've driven by this place countless times and never realized it was a coffee shop. It's a cozy spot with great food and coffee, and the pastries are excellent. It's truly a gem! I had to bring my husband the very next day.

Five Suns Brewing
626 Main St, MartinezI really like this place. Really good beer and a solid selection of regulars like pale ale, ipa, Porter, and stout. Not too many places have a good porter. This is run by five locals that have day jobs. I hope this place does well.

Luigi's Deli & Market
537 Main St, MartinezWent in on Halloween and met my friend for lunch. It was busy but the service is always efficient and courteous. They have lots of their own specialty sandwiches and all of them great but today I choose to make my own. You get a little pad with all the choices to check off. You choose your bread, meat/s, condiments, toppings, etc. I decided on a tri tip with horseradish cheddar on a sourdough roll, with chips and a cherry Coke Zero. They offer a gazillion different flavors of sodas there (okay made I'm exaggerating a little). They offer different salads as well. I was wanting something crunchy so I went with the chips. I couldn't eat the whole sandwich that day. Thank goodness! Because the next morning I had the other half for breakfast. It think it might have even been better than the first day. This place has been there forever and the owner loves what he does and it shows in the quality of his food and who he hires to work for him. I love this place and even though I don't live near there anymore I will always go back for a great sandwich from Luigi's Deli in Martinez.

Nu-Rays Bar
709 Ferry St, MartinezKaraoke here could be the it place if more people would come, it is already busy but I think more would make it that much better! I like singing karaoke on thursdays, I like the variety of ages of people that come in here. I even like the bartenders. However, I am not getting drunk in there because I am on a sabbatical from drinking, I order a Cola. So, I have no idea how they treat a newbie that gets wasted. So do not take anything I say and think this place is where you can go to actually have a good time, because I do not know that. I never stay late to even see if people get drunk there. What I do know is it is lively yet chill place with a support of people that are pretty friendly.

Vic's
1500 Pacheco Blvd, MartinezHave not had a bad meal here yet! I am super picky, and have high standards. Service is good (more on the European style, IYKYK), and food is great! Has a parking lot in back, but that does fill up quickly, especially for weekend brunch. I bring my "City" friends here, and all leave quite pleased.

Barrelista Coffee House
736 Main St, MartinezFirst time Walking around d-town Martinez. Walked in for light lunch. Perfect pick. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. There was a Cute small bar with an excellent spirits Selection. We ordered the panini, and got the last cake donut. Coffee was excellent and they had alternative milk options. Everything was flavorful and served temperature appropriate. The establishment and bathrooms were clean. Only down fall Was it Was not busy and it took a bit long for me to get my panini. It was lunch and maybe they were filling to go or catering orders in the kitchen. Note: They have board games to share if interested. This is a good pick for a light mellow coffee or light lunch or cocktails. They got it all covered.
