I've been here at least 3 times, different cars, only once with an appointment. The fee is less than other places I went to years ago and no coupon needed. Fast, friendly service. I highly recommend.

Had to join yelp just to review this place. The guy there was INCREDIBLY rude. Like seriously. Was the closest place so I thought it would be fine and I like supporting small business but oh well. Should've trusted my gut when I walked in and walked away! Do not bring your car here!

I went to Guys Smog when my old Chevy wasn't passing. They were very straightforward and professional about what they could do for me. Prices were reasonable and they fixed my truck in a timely manner.

From the moment I walk in the first I had an amazing experience with this shop. I always do my smog here. The customer service is outstanding. They took the time to listen to my concerns, and provide expert advice on the necessary repairs. I drive a Toyota car and a month ago had my engine light come out, so I went to Toyota to have it diagnose and the estimate ended up being like $8000. When I went to see Guys smog to get a second opinion after they diagnose my engine light they told me that the only think I need it was a new fuel tank cap and that should fix the engine light and it did. I highly recommend this place.

These guys do great work! Anytime I have a vehicle issue I can rely on them to get it fixed in a reasonable time, plus being a fellow Italian I fully support their business!

I live in Petaluma CA and this was the closest state licenced Brake and Light Inspection station I could find after a couple weeks of making phone calls, trying to get info from the DMV, surfing the net etc. They were even available to help me within a couple days of calling! Their service was great. I needed this inspection because I was required to get a salvage title for my recently damaged 2000 Dodge Ram Van 3500.There was one place in Santa Rosa who could help but they have a 2 month waiting list. Lots of stations used to be licensed but after COVID most seem to have stopped providing this service. On Ja 1 2024 there is going to be an entire new safety inspection required. Good luck finding someone with an updated license and training.

Engine check light was on. They were able to clear (for free) Let me know how to fix that and then I came back for a smog. They were fast, efficient and would definitely recommend them!

Had to Smog my car last week and it reminded about going here 2 yrs ago. Live in Richmond, work in Martinez. Mistakenly sent in my check to pay registration before smogging the car so to make sure no issues that DMV didn't reject me rushed to this location closest to my work location to make sure smog pass was in place first. Honestly i feel dude was trying to fail me. Honda accord that has had catalytic converter stolen (Bay Area surprised?), i had replaced with CA compliant unit and nobody but nobody has ever questioned it. This placed lifted my car up, told me he had to check part #'s etc.... 45+ mins later very reluctantly (IMO) passed me. Overall place gave me a locals and 'good' fellas vibe only. I will not be returning here

For Better or Worse, this guy is a stickler when it comes to your car. He will not pass it unless it is correct. Break and light inspection

They took me right in and did the smog test. I'm satisfied the vehicle passed. This was my first visit and will return in the future with my other car

Like these guys. And fast. Now my car didn't pass but I'll be on Thursday to talk to the gentleman about some additives he was pointing to.

I brought my bmw in for a brake and light inspection and the old white guy who works here is super rude and has an attitude. As per the brake and light inspection the only thing I was told was that it will take 2 hours and did not tell me anything through the process of them doing it. At one point the old guy which I assume is the owner just got into my car and just started driving away to which I screamed where are you going. He told me that it’s part of the inspection, I could understand that it is part of inspection but he did not mention anything to me or tell me anything. When he went on that little drive around the block I could hear him step on the gas pretty hard and I could even hear engine rev up pretty loudly. At the end he failed me for bad brake pads to which I had to get fixe then come back and then he passed me. I also felt pretty nervous of him getting in my car and moving it around because he did not even know how to get the car in gear or remove the parking break but his shop says bmw certified. Overall had a horrible experience at this place and I will not bring my business here any more I will continue to use another shop, do not let their price encourage you to go hereService: Initial registration

Walked in for a quick smog check, no appointment needed. The staff cleared my car within 15 minutes, this shop had a coupon on their website for a smog check. Dont forget to check out for any coupons!

I have been here several times over the years. The son is awesome. The father is a nightmare. He has been condescending, demeaning, and downright abusive to me on multiple visits. He yells at me and rolls his eyes and tells me," [I] just don't understand." I'm taking my business elsewhere.
