We originally took our Subaru in for work that we were told would cost thousands of dollars by a different repair shop in 2021. Teri was able to figure out that the problem was misdiagnosed and the repairs unnecessary. We've been taking our cars to DeCarlo's ever since for repair and general upkeep. We always get prompt, quality service at a reasonable price. Highly recommend Teri and his crew.

This review is long overdue. My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Decarlo's for close to 20 years I think. I think that statement speaks for its self. I always feel that Terry is looking out for MY best interests. We always have good conversations about what work needs to be done vs what work could be done and the pros, cons and risks (if any). I have especially appreciated this during lean times when we could only afford the minimum. The place is NOT fancy, you aren't paying for amenities, just quality work at a reasonable price. They have EARNED our loyalty.

I came in because my work vehicle had hit something and wanted to make sure the undercarriage looked okay. They were really quick to take it in and look at it. They thoroughly checked everything and made sure it was safe and okay to drive, and they didn't even charge me to look at it. These guys were such lifesavers and I sincerely appreciate their business!

Straight forward car repair. Providing services to get you back on the road without trying to upsell you to more services. Nice pleasant waiting room and the owner Terry is fair and knowledgeable. Ed and Phil the mechanics do excellent work. I only use Decarlos for my car services.

We went to DeCarlo after 3 different unsatisfactory mechanic visits in Walnut Creek, Concord and Martinez. We dropped our car thinking there was a head gasket leak and waiting a hefty quote for repair, because that's what our last mechanic told us when he added it might be dangerous to drive. So the car was sitting idle, waiting for a time where we can spend a large amount on repair. However, when Terry called us he told us there is no leak and car is safe to drive. To make sure he checked it twice. Since then we took both of our cars to DeCarlo's for several different issues and everytime we received great service, feedback and friendly recommendations. It feels great to finally have a shop that we can trust.

I came here on a recommendation from a friend and I'm happy that I did. This is one of those mechanics that you know is fixing your car, it's not pretty, it's not fufu, you're not going to get a latte while you're waiting. However, when you get your car it's going to be done and it's going to be done right you're going to get a good price and you're going to get good work and to me that's what it's all about. Piece of mind that you can rely on. I have to say this is a true "blue collar" mechanic right here who will do what it takes to make your car run how it's supposed to no extras no bamboozling,no shifty "okie dokeso none of that. he does what he's asked to do he suggests possible other things but isn't there to sell you work you didn't come in for.
