Will not spay & neutered cats , only local Contra Costa residents only , & not under 6 mths old ??? When they can get pregnant@ 4mths ???? Does not add up . I know why we have an up tick of Community/ Feral cats

All I did was call them. I was told that they couldn't help me with the car I needed spayed. I live in Antioch and they didn't accept animals from there. I'm pretty sure Antioch is in Contra Costa County, or at least it always has been. Maybe they should change their name.

I was actually a bit surprised how organized the facility looked. The different sections for dogs to be adopted & the windows you can view them at. The kennels seemed to be clean outside looking in. Was glad to over hear a dog was being adopted today. The spay & neuter area has two Entrances for both cats and dogs. The lady receptionist was pretty helpful and so was the nurse and doctor answering my concerns about my cat before she went into surgery.

Excellent, helpful, kind staff! They made everything easy and we’re very clear about everything. My Luna got spayed and she recovered beautifully thanks to the dedicated team at Contra Costa Spay & Neuter.

The absolute worst place to adopt. Facility has an "anti-gun" policy and will not adopt to gun owners. Avoid!
