Went to Hog Island Oyster's only to find out I couldn't get served. They weren't serving food. That's not in any of the ads they show especially on yelp I might add and then I went to Nick's Cove ordered a beer and a fish sandwich drank the beer in a hurry because I had to take my sandwich out and eat it in the car so damn many flies you couldn't stand it. They have a thing called fly paper. You might wanna try it. I went there years ago. Much better place sorry can't give you any kind of a reading. Lousy service wasted long, long trip for absolutely nothing should've gone down to McDonald's and got a fish sandwich. You'll never see me or any of my friends over there ever again You want the truth that's what you get.

This is a must while visiting this beautiful location. The views are amazing, superb service! Shout out to James and Katie, thank you for such great service! The food was delicious! No complaints, belly on full YumYum. And next we took a walk down the pier. Please drive slow and respect the locals, deer, foxes, etc. we are in their environment. I ate the clam chowder too fast and didn't get a picture... my bad

The barbecue oysters are fantastic! The clam chowder was a bit of a disappointment. I'd had it about 10 years ago, and it was the best I've ever had. It was briny, full of plump clams, and while it was creamy, it was not thick. What I was served was thick with no evidence of clams. It was like chowder served at Midwestern diners. The service was really attentive and helpful. I'll be back for the oysters, but I'll pass on the chowder next time.

This place is a rare gem. I dont think tomales bay is pretty known day trip spot. Ambience is amazing. Water front tables. Food is great. Bbq oysters are to crave for. Enough parking spaces. Service was great. Fish tasted super fresh. They also have soft serve which is rare with these kinda restaurants.

We drove out to Marshall for lunch at Nick's today. Brilliant decision. Lunch was outstanding and the setting is perfect. We had the calamari first, which deserves an extra star. I had fish and chips and my wife had the lobster roll. Everything was perfect and the service was quick and friendly. Confession: we had the Strauss soft serve swirl cone for dessert and it was epic. (This will sound odd, but the cone is made from a blue corn tortilla, then the cone rim is dipped in dark chocolate. This was worth the drive on its own! Eat at Nick's. You will be delighted!

Unfortunately we were disappointed at the service and food. They make you go the bar to order your own drinks and then you have to use their Wi-Fi/website to order your food. We have had better food & service at a baseball game. The lobster roll was watery, had zero butter like last time we were there. Calamari app is tiny and tasted tough. We were severely dissapointed but the view is amazing.
