“Stayed here early morning on June 16th. Inn keeper was extremely friendly, accommodating, and willing to go far out of her way to make this stay pleasant. As we hurried out the door in the morning to Yosemite she made sure we had food. Wishing we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy this wonderful hotel. Hoping to be back in the future.”
“We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Yosemite, which is around 1h away driving.
We were received by a male receptionist who was really nice and attentive, and is very much appreciated when arriving late at night, and after a long drive.
Rooms were clean and had all the amenities: shampoo, conditioner, a huge tv, a fridge. However, the rooms could use some update but I understand that is very personal, as it is related to style.
The hotel has a pool, parking and offers breakfast which was also very convenient.
I would recommend this hotel if you do not want anything very fancy as it has a convenient location since Mariposa offers a wide range of places to eat and it is good for the price.”

“Amazing location when visiting Yosemite! Circa 40 miles or so to the south entrance to Yosemite and similar ish to the north entrance. Really quaint hotel in a small, interesting town. Overall a very good hotel for the area given the limited options within Mariposa I think. Very good sized rooms and very comfortable room. Bathroom also very good size. Also very clean rooms despite being old in age. Breakfast was the hotel's only low point. Only one hot option and limited cold options for the rest. That said, it doesn't take too much away from the hotel. Lovely staff and lovely gift shop inside also.”

“Nice and spacious room, which was very clean.
My highlight was the whirlpool.
I wouldn't recommend the breakfast, as is typical for American hotels, it's quite poor.
The lodge is right on the road, making it perfect for a stop on the way to Yosemite National Park.”
“What a cute motel! We spent 1 night at Mother Lode Lodge while passing through Yosemite National Park. The motel is really nice and cozy. We arrived late, so we didn't have any personal contact, but we still had a very pleasant impression of the service because everything was provided for us very well. The only thing that isn't great is the mosquito situation - but the motel can't help that.”

“Great place. Check-in was easy - simply call the number if nobody is in the office. There are a variety of rooms to select with different features, so it can be perfect for a wide range of travelers. My smaller room had everything I’d need (fridge, microwave, coffee machine). The door was a french door with easy to shut curtains. A little odd closing them behind you upon exiting if you want to maintain privacy for your stuff.
It’s also worth noting that it may just have been my room location, but the walls likely aren’t the thickest, as I was kept awake by a screaming infant in an adjacent room for roughly an hour during my first night. The same circumstances at other area hotels would likely have similar outcomes, so I’m not holding this against them.
I’d stay here again if I ever make my way back to Mariposa! Fun little town.”
