“BEST MENUDO IN THE ENTIRE 831!!
Best breakfast to have.
We’ve been buying their menudo for the past 20+ years and as someone that’s tried menudo in many other places from San Francisco to Monterey none can beat this one at El Rancho Market. This menudo comes paired with its cilantro/onion mix as well a crushed pepper with oregano on its separate containers.
I’ll be honest I haven’t been in the store in many years but my dad brings us menudo from here just about every weekend.
When we go visit family in Modesto area they always ask us to bring them some. That’s how good it is.
On the picture I added my own home grown oregano hence the big oregano leaves.
Everyone needs to give their menudo a try.”

“I do not know why this place only 8 reviews! It is totally BOMB! Both my honey and I have co-morbidities so while COVID-19 persists, our dining out has come to a halt. For a special Valentine's Day dinner, my honey ordered the dinner box that was billed to serve 2 for the deal price of $125. He pre-reserved the box and went to pick it up on Friday. The box would contain Monterey Artichoke Dip, an Ad Astra baguette, bacon wrapped beef tenderloin with a container of brandy pepper corn sauce, twice baked truffle potatoes, and a sealed packet of baby carrots with butter, fresh tarragon and maple syrup. There was also a small chocolate cake that was gorgeously, but tastefully decorated, and a cute bouquet of mixed flowers. I thought the artichoke dip could have used more artichokes and less bell pepper but I wolfed it down using the slices of that perfect bread that was almost eaten up the moment we cracked open the box. The meat roasted at the same time and temp as the potatoes. I haven't had meat so tender, so beefy, so delicious in YEARS. The bacon wrapping was truly a taste sensation! The brandy peppercorn sauce was to die for! The carrots just got dropped sealed package and all into boiling water for 10 minutes. I don't even like tarragon, but this was outstanding! If you ordered a slice of the cake masquerading as a truffle, you would pay $10 or $15. I'm allergic to dark chocolate, but I couldn't resist. The pain of blisters on my tongue was totally offset by how delicious was this confection. We had leftover roast, sauce, and carrots the next day and were so happy! This is going to be our go-to place for special meats and ANY time they have specialty boxes, we will be hopping on that band wagon! My only opportunity for improvement aside from the artichoke dip would be to update the web site! Epic place with lovely people!”
