Friends' Community Bookstore had me completely enchanted! It's a beautiful place where the love of literature comes alive and a paradise for bookworms. I had a great time navigating the aisles and finding hidden gems that I might not have seen otherwise. I was impressed with the bookstore's wide collection, and the presence of first editions and uncommon discoveries raised the ante even further. This bookstore is a gold mine just waiting to be discovered, regardless of your reading preference.

I recommend coming here. loved it so much and I got so many good books for a very good price. Im a big twilight fan and I got the whole series. i’m so excited to read them. The people there are very helpful and nice?. I would come again.

This is an incredible community bookstore. The condition of most of the books I purchased were like new. I couldn’t tell that they were in fact used books. Their conditions are mint. The ladies working here are very knowledgeable and they suggested some wonderful books. The selection they have is also very good. They also sell music CD’s and movies on DVD. All prices are very reasonable. Definitely a worthwhile bookstore worth supporting.

I first learned about Friends Community Bookstore when my parents and I discovered it was nearby the Ramada Inn where we were staying and so we decided to have a look at this amazing store. And to my surprise this bookstore is one of Marina's hidden gems because this bookstore has nearly any kind of book or rare to find book series you couldn't find anywhere else and the best helpful staff you can find in any place. In addition their CD selection is so excellent and I was amazed at the great prices for CDs that are rare to find or out of print and you also can find great deals on DVDs too. I can honestly say Marina was smart to put Friends Community Bookstore in the city and it's wonderful to see that you are really helping out the community when you shop and buy purchases from this store and we need more bookstores like this in the future

I have yet to visit this particular book store because the hours are inaccurate on Yelp. However, while trying to visit the store I was outside taking a photo and reading their signage a lady approached. She was extremely informative and gave me a coupon for when I return, and she kindly informed me of sale on paperbacks for this upcoming Saturday. I plan on returning for the sale, and I will update my post. Update: Best book store in all of Monterey County! They have an amazing selection at great prices. It is a store but gives off a library feel; very quite. I would definitely recommend to any and all book lovers.

I used to come to this place before COVID-19! Now that they are closed I have taken advantage of their pick up order system. I email one of their personal shoppers to find a book that I want to purchase, they then work their magic to find what I need! I then pick up my order a few days after. Wonderful people and community business! Support your local businesses!
