I've been in the Marina since 1991. This team has been the best I've ever seen. The dock master Cheryl, Management Sarah and Anthony and leasing team Jordan and Michael are always very attentive and ready to help when I call and come into the office. 5 stars all around!

I lived here for a year and have loved the Wayfarer but also been disappointed at times. I’d say a great experience here and would definitely recommend it. I’m going to tell you my honest evaluation. I’m gonna start with cons because that’s what you’re here forCons:- this place is thieves alley!! THIEVES. anything left unattended will get stolen. Bikes will get stolen. The common amenities area was completely robbed- an elderly woman was physically assaulted within the property and the property did not alert us (but otherwise I felt safe)- Staff can be inconsiderate, however, big kudos to Jordan. He is amazing!- airbnb/Vrbo (despite being banned), the amenities are often abused by rentals and locals.- dog waste everywhere- charged $450 to clean after you move out (even if it’s already professionally cleaned)Pros:- quiet and beautiful location- great community- building is new and contractors keep the building pristine- clean clean clean- resort style amenities- AC/large balconies/washed/drier- tennis courts, deep pool, coffee machine, ping pong tables

It is impossible to praise any other aspects of Wayfarer so long as residents repair of essential necessities such as a functioning elevator. Unusable since August 5, (50 days and counting!), Wayfarer has failed to produce any relief whatsoever to the egregious hardships, worsening health and injuries already incurred by the elderly and physically compromised when they are left with no access to their apartments and vehicles other than struggling up and down flights of stairs laden down with even basic necessities...like food! Unforgivable.

I moved in the apartments a month ago and I couldn't be happier! The apartments are so clean and well maintained, the staff are very attentive with any concerns and most importantly it provides a safe environment for families! Everything necessary is in walking distance.

Wayfarer is a quiet community with lovely amenities .The leasing office staff is amazing.Love it here.So glad we made the move to Wayfarer Apartments and Marina.

I posted the review below on Yelp and wanted to make sure you see it.My wife and I reside in the Palm Springs area and as the summers get unbearably hot, we have spent the last ten summers in Marina del Rey. After having spent the summers at the Oakwood, the Dolphin and the Capri we discovered the Wayfarer. What a wonderful place. The facilities are great. The pool, spa, barbecue and lounging areas as well as the office area make for easy living. But what makes it so much better than any other place we have stayed in is the staff. The management is knowledgeable and helpful and unlike some other complexes, they are available. The cleaning staff is first rate and the place is immaculate.

Wayfarer is a great place to live! The maintenance team is very responsive and keep the grounds very clean. The staff is always responsive to any requests/questions. The activities and food trucks is a nice bonus. One of the best buildings in the Marina.

We actually never got to experience living here as the application process was a mess for us. So, that’s the only stage that I can speak to on Wayfarer in MDR.We had applied several months ago but had to put a hold on the process as work got too busy to organize and execute a move at that time. But when we revisited the process recently we ran into unnecessary hurdles; the online application produced errors and wouldn’t allow me to finish it properly with adding a second tenant, and the office didn’t have an immediate solution for us and they ultimately conveyed to us that a paper application would be sent. Meanwhile, despite stating that they wanted to get our problem solved before another applicant applied for the unit, this never happened and they continued to accept other applications for it. It is now no longer available and I didn’t even receive the courtesy of a follow-up.And as an aside, I had asked twice for confirmation that the unit had a walk-in closet. I was promised an answer on this, a video even, but it never came.Now, I realize that the aim of the property is to fill its units ASAP, but this kind of impersonal treatment left us feeling as though they did us a favor in making the decision for us not to live at Wayfarer. After all, if we’re merely a number during the application process, what kind of treatment could we expect as tenants?

Easily the best complex I have ever lived in - if I could give Wayfarer 10 stars, I would. First, the amenities are unbeatable. The pool is beautiful, the office space and clubhouse are basically my dream home, the gym is large and clean, the three tennis courts are amazing (we used them daily), and the common areas are always well kept. Second, the folks working at Wayfarer are the best. The maintenance staff is superb (extremely quick and efficient), the members of the front office are responsive, approachable, kind and helpful. Finally, the apartment itself was great. The appliances, flooring, countertops, and other finishes were all high quality. We couldn't hear the neighbors on either side of us, and as long as the neighbors above you have carpeting, then you shouldn't hear them either. And the view was... once in a lifetime. I pinched myself every day. The rent prices are also comparable to other buildings in the neighborhood (which is surprising given how much more you get at Wayfarer). We are so sad to be leaving this community!! The only complaint was that there are no internal stairs from the guest parking lot to the units upstairs, so the wait for the elevator could get annoying, especially if someone is using it to move in/out. Also, there can be a lot of non-residents who use the tennis courts. We never usually had to wait more than 30 mins, but it's still a bit obnoxious. But these are very minor inconveniences that would in no way deter me from re-signing a lease if we are ever back in MDR.

Jordan from management has been an absolute pleasure to work with through getting lease signed and moving in. I've felt respected, accommodated, and treated with professionalism at every step of the moving process.As I was moving in, one of the staff members, Arturo, even stopped what he was doing to assist me. I have had to do my move mostly alone and that simple gesture really made me feel welcome here. Many of the reviews I've read here complain about dog related issues. I have personally have not had any negative experiences there. Every dog has been leashed, well behaved, and no dog p*** anywhere. I've moved about a dozen times in my life and this has been by far the best experience that I've had thus far.My only suggestion would be an improvement to the package delivery system. It seems many packages are unclaimed - perhaps because people are unaware of delivery? Although, getting my packages has been plenty manageable so far. Very excited to be living in this community. I have been informed about several community events that seem genuinely fun to attend. Thank you Wayfarer staff

Great amenities and neighbourhood! My favorite part about living here is that you get to walk around the marina everyday. Coffee shops, the beach and some restaurants are walking distance.
