The Jewelry Shop is a small shop with an exquisite collection of fine, custom, in house made jewelry. Usually when I pass by this shop it's super early and it's close. Today, I happen to have checked in later here at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey and this shop was open. The shop is on the corridor as you walk from the main lobby and out towards the pool/gazebo area. On the display case, a golden south seas pearl ring, that caught my eye and lured me inside. I was greeted by the owner Steven Jackson and he was cordial and showed me that gorgeous ring and other fabulous jewelry I Love Love Love. Jewelry for men, women and whatever your inclination, diamonds, platinum, gold, gems and peals...oooh la la. I was dazzled with the unique collections and was shocked to learn the prices were so much less $$$$ than the jewelry shops in Beverly Hills (Mikimoto, Cartier, Van Clefs, Tiffany, DeBeers) to name a few. Mr Jackson was knowledgeable about diamonds and pearls and gave me some pointers on what would be complimentary on my hand...he said, based on the degree of measurement/distance from certain fingers and joints, 'a large diamond/pearl, on a large setting would look fabulous on me,' Ha! He is a very smart man ;) as I prefer double digit karats ;)
