Everything was done on time, but the quality was VERY sub-standard for Gelsons. The crudite platter looked very pretty, BUT the veges were all VERY limp from the moment we took them out of the fridge, to the point that you could barely use them in a dip without them bending backward and barely holding dips on them. So disappointed in our purchases, which were very expensive. The cheese and fruit platter was also disappointing…the brie cheese never softened up and was so hard and not creamy. The cut cheese in little cubes dried out and looked very unappetizing. So surprising for Gelson's. I'm asking for a refund for the platters we ordered. It was embarrassing to say to my guests that it was from Gelson's, it was so bad.

We lost our weekly mailer coupon in the store. The manager provided terrible customer service. It's hard to justify the expensive prices without, so we left. By not providing service with one coupon, you permanently lose our business.

The quality of the food is unsurpassed. No market can compare. And the variety is wide. I have never shopped there and not found what I was looking for. But most of all you simply have a great staff and crew. Everyone appears to genuinely enjoy what they do, they are always conversant if not downright playful, and highly knowledgeable. I genuinely enjoy shopping there!

That you have reduced your inventory, especially in your produce department, which is disappointing. More floor space is bare. Yes we notice things like that.And also that you no longer open more check out lanes when a line gets too long. Yesterday there was a long line, just a single lane open, and no manager available to talk to. We have always considered Gelsons to be a 5 star store, but with our visit yesterday, not so much any more. But your prices still reflect your old 5 star rating. Something is wrong with this scenario. So, with high prices and just average service, I don't see the benefit any longer.

MDR Gelson’s has friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient staff. The store has quality products, which are well stocked. The produce area is excellent. I have shopped here since the store opened (45years?). It’s my favorite.

very clean store with quality products and a friendly staff.I recently called in a flower order for 2/14. Lori, the floral manager, did such an amazing job with this arrangement, and I could not be happier. About a week later, Lily's opening my apartment smells wonderful. I definitely recommend Gelson’s MDR to all of my friends on the west side they have the freshest flowers and produce. Say ? to Lori in the floral department on your way through.
