By far the worst experience I have ever had with someone in the medical industry. I have limited mobility due to an injury, so a family member attempted to retrieve the medication for me. When attempting to get the medication the employee began to scream at my family member and kicked her out of the store. Go to Marina Pharmacy, not this place.

I usually don't write reviews but my experience at this pharmacy was honestly very scary and could've been dangerous. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere for your own safety! This not against any of the other staff at the pharmacy (who were very kind) but the owner, Marty, who was extremely aggressive and lashed out at me, and then later, my mother. I used to work in customer service so I'm always kind to customer facing people and I understand how frustrating it can be, but this was abusive, and he should not be interacting with people if he's going to treat them like this. I had the usual price for my medicine on my phone as it was listed from their pharmacy, but he kept telling me he wouldn't honor it. So, I asked if he would put in my code and he kept saying he already did. I asked if he could try again, very nicely, which resulted in him being very aggressive and yelling at me that he didn't have that medication and he had another one that was more expensive. I was trying to check and make sure I got the right medicine (since he said he had a different one) but, it escalated very quickly and honestly, I got really scared for my safety. So, I said that I would just pay the price they gave me, I just didn't think his response was precedented. He then blew up at me and asked me what was wrong with his response and I said that I was just trying to get my medicine and he was being a little rude and that I was scared. He then started yelling at me so I told him that I was recording on my phone which resulting in him screaming even louder and getting super aggressive, then saying he was calling the police to say that I was threatening him (by recording him). I was in so much shock that it triggered a panic attack, and I started shaking in the pharmacy so I left and walked home. I needed my antibiotics so I told my mom what happened and she ended up calling him. Initially, he blatantly hung up on her, and then after getting him on the phone and asking about my prescription he went off on her, yelled at her, and then hung up. I tried transferring my prescription and Walgreens told me they were having trouble getting it from them. It's really awful that someone in charge of providing vital medicine would withhold that out of spite. I finally got my medicine almost 7 hours later but I couldn't imagine if someone needed it right then and there. I hope he gets the help he needs and no one else has to experience this.

Worst experience ever. Submitted prescription a week ago - was told they didn't have it in stock and would get back to me, Forward A WHOLE WEEK LATER - nothing, Finally I called and spoke with a female pharmacist who said she had a 30 day supply (order was for 90) and did I want that. I said fine - I went in - waited in longest line ever then they said they didn't have it. And they had no idea when they would have it. Completely disorganized, incompetent and uncaring. FYI -I am in distress because this was a prostate med and now I'm in pain along with other complications. If my condition gets worse I will consider legal action. I am a long time CVS customer and have never had this problem at the Sherman Oaks store.

The staff at this pharmacy are friendly and efficient, but the location can be a bit hard to find. This pharmacy has a good selection of diabetic supplies and the staff are knowledgeable about their use. I like the online refill option at this pharmacy, it's very convenient and easy to use. Thanks

I'm all for supporting small business but this is not the place. The owner is legitimately the rudest human. He should not be customer facing if he hates his customers and job so much. Recently I went in to pick up a prescription he had said he would have for me on Monday. When I arrived He told me to hold on they were very busy. Okayyyy I was the only person in the pharmacy. But If he says he's busy he's busy sooo I waited patiently for a few minutes while he answered calls etc vs dealing with the human standing inside his pharmacy. Once he finallllly addressed me he told me he doesn't carry the medicine I was there for. (Would have been nice if you asked me when I walked in what I was there for and saved me the time of waiting while you answered multiple calls and did everything but assist me) I said "that's strange because I called you a few days ago and you specifically told me to come in because you would be getting it on Monday." Then he rudely said "I don't carry that medicine." Okayyyy He's just really a miserable human. This is not my first terrible interaction with him. I always go in friendly and agreeable with high hopes he'll mimic an ounce of my kindness back to me when speaking with me. Nope. The way he speaks to his customers is mind blowing to me. Also I saw the review below talking about how he prioritizes which customers he gives prescriptions to. I can confirm that he has done this to me. And I don't doubt it's how he operates regularly. A friend had gone in to pick up the same prescription I needed. They chatted he mentioned having plenty blah blah so I went in a few hours later to pick up mine and he said "he hasn't had that prescription in his pharmacy for weeks." I said "hmm that's strange because you just filled it for X earlier today" The distaste I have for this man and this place is on another level. If he's good to you, enjoy. But if you're looking for a new pharmacy or want to support small business DO NOT BOTHER! He hates new customers. Even if you've been going there regularly for months.

Wow !!! I was never treated so rudely by a pharmacy. I had a prescription with Marina Pharmacy, it was all approved and set to go. Since they are also a small independent pharmacy the prescription wasn't going to get there until Monday. They graciously said if I wanted it sooner they would send it to another pharmacy. I called the Marina Del Rey pharmacy . He was so rude he told me my prescription was denied. He would not call the marina pharmacy for me. His whole attitude was awful. If you want a wonderful small pharmacy try Marina Pharmacy on Lincoln. They are so nice and no one will hang up on you, They even deliver which is an added plus.

wow, worst experience ever. the main guy marty was yelling at the employees and they just seemed so sad. truly seems like an abusive work environment. the asian older man at the front was taking all of the abuse and it was disheartening i was tense the entire time i was in this pharmacy. -- he also charged me for a med that i know is covered by insurance.

I went to urgent care for my daughter. Doctor said to take OTC meds. Then I got a text from MDR Pharmacy saying a prescription is ready to be picked up; followed by another text saying I already picked up the meds. I was confused and texted back that the doc said I didn't need one (i.e. take Tylenol I didn't need a prescription) but just in case, I asked them to confirm. Next thing you know the pharmacist called me screaming at me to "stop harassing" him and that there is no prescription for my daughter (exactly what I have been saying!); not letting me talk, then hung up on me! WTF?! I called the doctor and she confirmed that she did not prescribe anything, so I called the number of the a-hole back and I recognized his voice when he answered and he must have recognized my voice/number and he passed the phone to a woman who again confirmed that there was no prescription and that there must have been a mix up. This pharmacist is completely unprofessional and is utterly unhinged! Would you really trust someone in charge of your vital medication when he has poor anger management issues and can go off on a complete stranger, AND worst yet, getting you mixed up with someone else? I think not. At least the woman I spoke to was nice.

We are so thankful to Marty at Marina del Rey Pharmacy. We get our prescriptions filled there with ease, and we were able to get our flu and Covid vaccines - with care and caring. We were especially grateful for Marty's help during Covid. So good to know that they are there.

So rude on the phone. Cut me off. I couldn't even speak when the man told me don't have aderol. NOT at all something I take. There is nation wide shortage of pain medication. I have a real struggle with pain for over 10 years. I was very polite and this man was incredibly rude. I will not be transferring any of my many medications to this place.

One of the few small independent pharmacies left. They are on top of things, you'll get to know them, and they're real people you can deal with who are helpful versus the big chain pharmacies.

I moved to Marina Del Rey recently. My previous pharmacy closed and I had problems transferring my prescriptions. Marty helped me above and beyond what any other pharmacist has ever done. He cares about the totality of each and every person who enters Marina Del Rey Pharmacy, I happened to be there when he took a customer's phone call. I do not think people understand there are legal ramifications associated with certain prescriptions and often pharmacists are not able to answer questions or give out information over the phone.There was a time when my provider has made a mistake and Marty handled it with integrity in what could have been an embarrassing situation for all.My experiences with Marty and his staff have been professional and I urge you to ignore any of some of these ridiculous comments.

Great service and always on top of making sure your prescription are ready for pick up. Small town feel and people who know you when you when you walk in. Difficulty to find elsewhere with large chain stores
