We had the best time taking lessons for our wedding! Can't wait to get back for fun. The instructors are kind, patient and work with you to develop a dance that suits you and your partner. The owners are incredibly nice and very down to earth! Looking forward to seeing the studio grow.

Craig saved the first dance at our wedding! We took 3 classes and in that timeframe Craig taught us basic steps that allowed us to work together and not argue about who was leading he also taught us a dip for the end of our dance that we pulled off and then also used in photos with our photographer too which turned out beautifully! If you're looking for a teacher with patience and moves, Craig is your man!

I got a private dance lesson from Deborah (the owner) and I could not be more satisfied with her level of service. She was very kind, friendly and patient. She really took the time to teach me. Also her studio is absolutely beautiful with great views and great natural lighting.

Hold onto your fedoras because By Your Side is the real deal. My two left feet and I stumbled through the doors in search of a new hobby and uncovered the best dance studio in LA. Such a friendly and welcoming community. The instructors are incredible - experienced, professional, patient, encouraging, and fun. The studio offers a fun mix of classes and social events with a variety of styles and levels. It's a veritable dance buffet to cater to any taste and keep you on your tapping toes. Salsa is my favorite right now, but I have not been to one class I didn't love. It's easy to drop into any class by yourself or with a partner and they never try to upsell you on more classes. This location is really spacious with gorgeous sunset views. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing place. I am currently learning bachata and salsa. On Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I’ve learned so much, and so quick!Totally recommended. The dance teachers are very nice, they pay attention to detail and correct you on every group class, and everyone makes you feel welcome!I love every second I step in for my classes!

I had been meaning to take dance lessons for years, and I'm so glad I finally did with by your side. I took salsa and bachata classes with Deborah Perez and she is fun, knowledgeable, and a great instructor, and everyone in the class is very nice. If you're looking for great dance community and some place you can grow as a dancer, this is your place.

We came to Laura for our wedding dance and could not be happier! She is so much fun and was so patient with us. She choreographed our dance perfectly and listened to exactly what we wanted - it's romantic and exciting but not too complicated for us non-dancers. We are going to miss her now that our lessons are complete!

I started with the four week beginner Salsa and Bachata series and absolutely love it! The instructors are fun and professional and I improve every week. I love this studio and will be taking classes here as long as possible.

By Your Side Dance Studio located in Marina del Rey has absolutely the best teachers who are patient and knowledgeable. I would recommend this dance school for beginners, intermediate and advance dancers. They provide it all, from teaching; basic dance classes to advance moves, wedding dancing and competitive dancing. They are truly the creme de la creme of dance schools. I have been taking lessons for the last 3 months and have found the instructors very patient, encouraging and professional. The waltz, salsa and bachata are my favorites. The community that Debra and her team have cultivated makes it very comfortable for all people with all levels of dance skills. The staff makes you feel welcomed and they are eager to teach everyone. By the way the facility is spacious and beautifully designed. Florence B

Deborah provides top notch instruction that can make anyone a better dancer and athlete. Over the years I've taken all kinds of lessons in different sports, arts, hobbies, etc. but never experienced so much self-improvement as when I started taking classes with Deborah at By Your Side.Dance improves posture and body mechanics like no other activity and DanceSport is perfect for anyone that likes music and fitness.I recommend trying out a 4 or 6 week series of group classes and then taking a private lesson (first one is half price with a promo).

I absolutely love the salsa classes at By Your Side! The teachers Deborah, Laura and Guillermo are friendly, fun, and patient! My favorite class is level 2 salsa on Sundays with Deborah. She comes up with some very interesting patterns and it's a challenge but I love that there's always something new to work on in class. BYS hosts themed social dance parties. I really enjoyed their Halloween and Valentines Day salsa and bachata party! The studio offers amazing classes and hosts a great, warm and welcoming community.

I have been taking salsa lessons at both studios and also attending the workshop series for ballroom as well as salsa and bachata. As a novice introverted dancer, I cannot praise the patience, attention to detail yet lighthearted approach of each and every instructor enough. To be a good dancer and really enjoy yourself, you need to understand the technical basics, get drilled on them and be given a chance to practice with multiple partners. BYS provides all of these things. There are practice videos, practice sessions, monthly socials and the opportunity to go out social dancing with other students in social settings. I plan to stay a student here for a while. After all,BYS probably offers classes in over 10-12 dance styles and multiple levels therein. Try a class. You won’t regret it.
