These guys are GREAT!! They are very responsive when something needs to be done. Lionel the maintenance supervisor is very knowledgeable and quick to fix any issue. Noah the property manager is always making sure we are taken care of. I really appreciate it and will recommend this place to anyone looking to move to the area.

Didn't want to post this review but after serious consideration I decided I had no choice.The positive side of Harborside Marina is that it's a great boating community. Been docking my boat here for almost 6 years. Everything was great until we ended up with a new dockmaster, which as a single girl, it feels very uncomfortable having a dockmaster hit on you and try to flirt with you when you clearly haven't given him any indication you're interested.I have noticed that the moment I made it clear that I'm not interested in him or his 'friendly' flirtatious tactics he started just finding anything to complain about my boat. Right now we're having heavy rains and he doesn't want any boater to add any tarps. Like common give us a break. Anyways, if this review helps just one person about Harborside especially another single female that wants to dock her boat without any harassment by the dockmaster, then please do yourself a favor and find a better marina.

My experience at Harborside Marina Bay Docks has been marred by the new dockmaster's Mike lack of introduction and unwelcoming approach. His initial mass email, devoid of a name and filled with a restrictive list, gave off a prison-like vibe rather than fostering a sense of community among boaters. There are unsettling accounts of him entering boats without permission and following people into the bathroom, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite his role, the promised improvements, especially in the cleanliness of facilities, remain unfulfilled. The lack of response to emails raises questions about his qualifications and commitment to creating a positive boating environment.

Looks are deceiving at Harborside Marina Apartments. APARTMENT: The walls are so thin you can hear neighbors snoring. Living on the 3rd floor seemed appealing until the neighbors walked and it felt like an earthquake was happening. The elevators are constantly out of order and it takes months before any repairs are completed.SAFETY: There were major security breaches! Six police officers were called to resolve a hostage situation when I first moved in. I was forced to stay in my apartment for over an hour while the building was on lockdown. A shooting happened in broad daylight and I witnessed the victim being taken away in an ambulance right in front of the leasing office. The unit next door was used as a short term rental and nothing was done for 11 months- the biggest security breach!MANAGEMENT: Document EVERYTHING! You may not get your security deposit back, even if the apartment is left in immaculate condition. It's been almost 30 days and I've yet to receive by deposit. The most I've received is a run-around from management.BE ADVISED: The positive reviews here are for Avalon and NOT Harborside Marina Apartments. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY on an overpriced apartment.

Lived here for four years and really enjoyed it. Office staff is helpful and kind, maintenance staff is SO FAST and does great work, amenities are always clean. The gym, pool, and lounge all have a great view of the marina. Had to leave the city for work but very sad to leave this place!

David - on the maintenance team - was prompt and polite as always. He immediately set about taking care of the several items in an organized way. 5 of 5. Also... want to add that Lionel - the maintenance supervisor - is excellent! Very knowledgeable about the multiple aspects of the job. Personable, always helpful, provides clear explanations, a pleasure to work with. Lionel's a valuable asset to Harborside!

Unprofessional staff, recently the leasing manager was found drunk passed out in the bathroom during working hours and she’s still working there. SMH wouldn’t recommend.

We lived at this property for a total 5 years (2 different owners of the property). Overall it was an ok experience because location is central for the west side of LA and neighbors/community is lovely as it’s a smaller property. From the staff I do want to shout out LP and Noah, they are amazing.Ultimately we left because the cons outweighed the pros.1. The lack of security became more and more visible. Several scary robbery events with absolutely zero intervention by management. There is curtesy patrol but rare and minimal security cameras. Cars have been broken into and tires stolen several times2. The gym needs a total update. Old equipment. Weights missing. Bench broken.3. Price became unmanageable for the amount of issues in the building.elevators always broken. Paying for amenities ie roof deck reservation. Lack of care for noise. We had disrespectful upstairs neighbors who completely disregarded quiet hours. We spoke to management several times, several emails, no change made.Overall a fine experience if you don’t care about some of the things listed above but there are other properties in the marina now you can get for better or same price point
