Worst customer service and drivers ever!!! MVE/GLS is the main delivery company one of my distributors has use for over the years. They were top notch pre-Covid. Their quality of customer service has slowly gotten worse to the point that we are doing what we can to have a different company provide service. Over the last couple of years, we had pallets of equipment and parts that were shrink wrapped together and to the pallet to find boxes missing. That is when our distributor recommended cutting open the shrink wrapped and count the boxes on the shipping label. Since then, we found two times we were shorted boxes. Note: if we didn't count the boxes and were short, we would be charge for the shorted packages. Earlier this year, we had a new driver who was new to driving but big on attitude. She would complain that we would count boxes while she waited. A few deliveries later, she stated the her dispatch will not allow her to unload without signing first. So we agreed and she moved the pallet to the back of the trailer when we noticed that 6 boxes with forklift punctured holes. We told her to make a new of the damaged boxes when she accused my employees of doing the damaged. We questioned her how we could have done it if we were not allowed to even unload it yet. She didn't know but continue to state the holes were not there previously. We call customer service and left phone messages again regarding this. The final straw was last week. We had a large delivery and the same driver right away hopped out of her truck and told us we had to sign the receive document before she even opens the door to the trailer as ordered by her dispatch. I told her we are not signing for anything without seeing what is being delivered. She yelled at us that we had to or she will leave. I told her to leave then my business partner tried to talk to her and calm her down. She finally opened the door and brought the pallet to the back of the truck. 4 of 21 boxes were damaged. Once again I called Mountain Valley Express Manteca to complain. They later transfer my call to another hub where in left another voicemail and requested a call back. I never received a call back or email. That is why I am writing this Yelp review. Hopefully someone from GLS/MVE who cares about customer service will read this and try to resolve their issues so customers who use their services will receive better treatment and respect especially with the high price of delivery services nowadays due to high fuel and labor cost

Ughhhhh. I wish I had read the reviews before I sent a shipment with them. They were a day late picking up and now that they have it, nobody is home. Nobody answers the phone - they turned a 2 day transit time into a week and still, the products haven't delivered yet.... I don't know how companies like this exist.

If I could choose 0 stars, I would. This place is really a warehouse that just holds onto shipments and doesn't deliver them. They don't answer the phone...no one works there. This review is probably a moot point as the place surely has gone out of business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Load picked up in Phoenix, AZ on 3/7/22 Going to Tucson, AZ. Distance between the two locations is 1 hour and 41 minutes. It's 3/21/22 and the load is still sitting in Phoenix. This company is beyond horrible. Lies lies and more lies. Scheduled deliveries that come and go. They don't deserve the 1 star review I gave.

I cannot recommend this company. I'm a former long-haul truck driver who's now the inventory manager at a retail chain store. I know the ins and outs of the trucking industry and I have to say that Mountain Valley Express is the worst less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier I ever had the misfortune to deal with. They are consistently either early or late with our weekly scheduled automatic replenishment shipments and at least once a month manage to lose an entire pallet. They eventually find it, but often it's days later. This makes our store look bad when a customer's order is lost or can't be fulfilled on time due to lack of inventory. It's also very inconvenient for us because we don't always have the staff to deal with breaking down an incoming pallet when it arrives without notice. While LTL shipping has always been a bit of a wasteland, some companies still manage to stand out thanks to their sheer incompetence. MVE is one of those companies. I strongly urge anybody considering LTL shipping to look elsewhere.

The worst carrier ever. They picked up our freight 2 weeks ago, and tracking # is invalid. Everytime we can and track, we were told they have not yet billed it and it is not yet in the system and promise to call us back to update. Days pass by, still not even any word. They just ghost around, saying they have our freight now and it is not in their hand later. It seems they took the goods, but do not put in their system so that they can just free them from any duties.

I know people always ask for a 0 star option, and this would definitely apply to Mountain Valley Express. I've shipped with this company 3 times: 3 strikes you're out!! They never know where your shipment is, their tracking information is bogus, and sometimes the truck just shows up at random after their office saying the package is missing? Unreliable: and really that's all you're looking for in a freight company. Buyer Beware: I and everyone I work with will never use this company again.

***be aware, please stay away*** I literally have never left a single review, but this is getting ridiculous. Had this company do a shipment and they missed the first scheduled date "shipment still needs to be unloaded" after that they said it will be here on a Monday. Then on Monday they said Tuesday. Then they said it will be here on Thursday and will call to make an appointment on Wednesday and no one calls. And now onto next week, Tuesday the appointment is scheduled, I called for updates 3-4 times and they said they will get back to me. And at the end of the scheduled time i called again and they said the driver said it's too heavy and unsafe to deliver. How many weeks of planning does it take? is there not a single competent person at this work place. First thing tomorrow morning I'm calling the BBB.

This company is terrible. Horrible customer service. They lost a huge shipment of ours 2 times now. I would never use this company again. They dont answer the phones. They dont help to locate anything.

Yet another junk company that needs to be put out of business (the reviews are already a pretty good giveaway of their incompetency). I couldn't care less if these people have no jobs, but these entitled, self-righteous fools don't deserve to be in business. Period. Purchased a large floor mirror from Houzz (who apparently uses these people for delivery). I paid for shipping as well. Come delivery time, they don't deliver within the designated window, and nobody in their customer service department knows when they could deliver. Go figure. What's worse, they deliver whenever, and the driver refuses to bring the *very bulky* shipment up to the unit (this is a multi-residential condominium complex with an elevator). The shipment weighs 54 lbs. The fellow claims it only weighs 6 lbs, and that I should be able to lug it upstairs. He flatly refused to bring it up to my home, claiming that they are not allowed to come inside homes! No one that has made a home delivery thus far, came into my home either. They drop it off outside my home. Why these fools cannot comprehend such basic logic is beyond me. Called their customer service to see how they could help fix the issue caused at their end, and they are pretty rude. They simply hang up or tell you that the delivery is already made, so nothing can be done. This is the 'world-class' service they claim to offer. Clowns! I am hiring another independent tasker to assist with bringing the bulky mirror upstairs, but this is how service with them goes. You pay delivery charges to hire these fools, and then you'd have to hire another tasker to finish the job. These people going out of business would make everyone's life a little easier.

I've been trying to get a hold of someone from the Manteca & Corporate locations all day. Automated answering system will transfer to customer service but never actually reach anyone. It routes all calls to a full voicemail box and then proceeds to hang up the call, after a 5 - 7 minute wait time. Have tried twice every hour since 8am & now it's close to 3pm. If this is what they call customer service, I'd hate to see what they consider bad service. All in all, they have been in procession of my order since yesterday, they haven't reached out to schedule a delivery and I can't get through to them. It's a time sensitive order and being helpless like this sucks. Can't recommend a company that can't perform even the simplest thing, like answer a phone.
