“My son went to this program and had a great experience. The Team at Manhattan Country Club are excellent and I highly recommend. The kids have a lot of great activities due to the location at the country club including tennis, yoga, dance, etc. We particularly loved the events they put on for parents. These events are top notch with catering and cute dances, singing and performances by the kids.”

“The staff at the Shade Hotel were absolutely incredible. From the start of the process of planning my wedding with them to actually having the event happen, the service was unmatched. They helped make every detail perfect. From the food menu, accommodations, to the day of the event, the day was better than we could have ever imagined. They provide a day of event coordinator, which made it so I could actually sit back and enjoy the day in every beautiful moment. The staff and managers are flexible, thoughtful, and completely devoted to making your day as special as possible. The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and cozy. Also, the hotel is an easy walk to the beach, and we were able to get our first look photos at the pier. If you’re considering having an event with a beautiful location and unmatched service, look no further - The Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach is where you want it!”

“Love this hotel. The people, gym, outdoor pool and lounging area, and the attached 9 hole executive golf course all make for a terrific work, or recreational, stay. Nicely done to all who take care of us here!”

“Great location. We walked to the beach and restaurants the entire time. We did have a vehicle but didn't need it.
The only knock is the mattress. Unbelievably uncomfortable. Hard as a rock and the pillows were thin and uncomfortable.”

“This was a work trip and it was convenient for where we were going, but I don't know if I would stay here if it were a personal trip. I was there for an overnight trip so I didn't go to the restaurant or gym. The Belamar looks like it was an old apartment building converted to a hotel and the rooms were passed off as hipster with the in room record player. My coworker who lives in the area says that it's been converted several times. The hallway and stairwell give away it's age. Pros: Staff was very courteous and friendly. Close to the Point (high end shops and restaurants) There's a green belt for walking, plus the neighborhood has charming homes to walk past. Bikes are for rent. The hotel has a deal with Soul Cycle. Record players in every room. It's fine for an overnight trip. I was able to have the hotel hold my bags while I was in a meeting. That was very convenient. Just OK: Parking is tight and it's $25 for overnight parking. The records are in the lobby. I know one Yelper was made comments about their choice in music, but I kind of agree and the records I did play were dated past our parents era and scratched. It's time to purge and upgrade with newer used records. The beds are kind of low. I thought it was odd, but some people with mobility issues may not like it. The bathtub needed an upgrade or repaint, but the shower was fine. For convenience to The Point, LAX, Manhattan Beach and visiting F&F in the area, it will work for most.”
