The associate I worked with today, Richard, is a real piece of work. He repeatedly refused to provide me a parcel acceptance/drop-off receipt for my pre-labeled Priority Mail package. I explained to him that I needed this package acceptance/drop-off receipt in order to be able to receive coverage from my shipping insurance provider, because the item I was mailing is very valuable. Richard kept on saying that my priority mail label purchase receipt would be good enough, but it isn't, because all it proves is that I bought a label. It doesn't prove that I dropped off an item at the post office, nor does it say the time that I dropped it off or the date that I dropped it off.
Finally, I had to demand my package back, and Richard refused to do this twice before finally relenting.
I told Richard that I would go to a different post office to ship my item. What an absolute joke! Richard wasted 30 minutes of my time, and all because he was too lazy to print off a scan receipt. Unbelievable!

Don’t just tell people to look up their packages/letters themselves using a website (that had technical difficulties, at that). Look it up for us. You are being paid by the government to do a job, so please do it.

The WORST customer service/employees I have ever encountered. The absolute LAZIEST!!!!! Apparently, There was only 1 person that could help me with what I needed and they "didn't know where she was" and wouldn't go find her. They "buzzed" her and just sat there!!!!! It wasn't busy..... she could have gone to find her....... But she SAT THERE WITH A TERRIBLE ATTITUDE. I don't ever write reviews...... but this was so bad I HAD TO LET PEOPLE KNOW TO NEVER GO HERE!!!! I WILL NEVER RETURN.

I wish I could give zero stars. The employees at this location (especially the manager) are incredibly rude and lazy. I overheard a conversation between the manager and another employee. They were loudly joking about coming to work with Covid, and how they really hoped they didn't get any local "Manhattan Beach b****es sick" (while laughing). They also told me they weren't accepting anymore packages for the day, and this was at 1:30pm. I proceeded to drop off my package at the self service machine. The manager grabbed my package, got really close to me, aggressively pushed my package at me, and said, "I told you! We ain't accepting anymore packages!" Then proceeded to walk back into the normal mail room whilst loudly telling the other employees, "this is the sh*t I was telling you about. These white b****es are racist". Really rude and incredibly insulting. Especially because I wasn't rude whatsoever, never made any racist remarks, and this person knows nothing about my heritage or family.I would highly suggest taking the extra time to drive over to the El Segundo Post Office instead. They're lovely over there!

When I tried to return a package the cashier asked me to tape the package and come back another day. I'm sure they can tape it for you. The cashier is being lazy

Worse experience ever. On December 29th I paid for express priority mail for a important package to be delivered at a Manhattan Beach business. Do not use express mail through the us post office. My express overnight package is showing in their system as not delivered because office was closed on December 30th. Well the US Post Office Customer Service Deparment or this branch can not verify if my package was delivered. HORRIBLE!!! A NIGHTMARE!!! As of January 13th no proof of delivery and the package has not been returned to me as undelivered. Where is the package ?????

This was the second USPS I visited to deliver an Operation Santa gift. The first office I visited wasn't trained nor knowledgeable of the service I was explaining. The male worker at the Manhattan Beach USPS that assisted me was very knowledgeable, quick and efficient. I would return to this USPS to continue using their services, even after the holidays.

Do I recommend the post office? SURE because I need my mail delivered asap. Do I recommend there service? Depends if you enjoy grump grandparents helping you as you ask them for priority envelopes, and after some minor convincing they actually find some in the back room. Odd, you would think they would just supply that being that we need them for PRIORITY reasons, and in some cases they just tell you to order more online, when they actually had them.I don't know if I call that lazy, but they are friendly after you bother them a bit at this location, fairly nice people in the end. Sorry for asking you to go out of your way to restock post office supplies?

I stopped by recently on a Saturday to mail 2 priority mail packages. It was empty and very clean! The staff was super friendly and helpful, overall a great mailing experience. I found parking easily on the street in front of the building. The inside was very clean and tidy, and there is plenty of space to package your things inside the lobby area.

They need to update the hours on the actual USPS website. They only have a paper on their door with updated hours, but it's pointless when you get there and its closed

Horrible!!! Be aware with the white male clerk who looks like late 40 to mid 50. There was no one in the line when I bring my prepaid package, just to scan and get the receipt. When I got there, he spent a couple minutes to explain to go out and scan through the machine to obtain the receipt, and come back to him in order to hand the package!!! Wow. It only takes 10 sec to scan the package if he moves his fingers and just get the package there. This is literally refusing the service inhumane way of treating the person. What is point for hiring him there and paying the salary if he resist moving his fingers but act like AI who only speaks?
