First time in the chair with Kasai. Finally happy with a stylist after trying many salons throughout LA over the last 3 years. He’s very straight to the point, which I appreciate. The hair cut from wash to dry took about 45 minutes…quickest haircut of my life but I’ve never been happier. I showed him 3 reference photos and after a few suggestions from him on how to adapt the cut to me, he started the process. Immediately booked a 4 month touch up appointment which is something I never do. Cost of the cut (women’s) was $140. Not including tip. Absolutely worth it.

My go-to hair stylist! Kasai is the absolute best in LA and knows exactly what to do with your hair while always taking your facial structure/features into consideration. I love that the actual haircut only takes him like 15min!! He's brilliant and innately gifted with hair. My haircuts from Kasai last me anywhere from 6-8mo which is great for someone like me who ffffing sucks at maintaining any level of consistency with haircuts, getting nails done, etc.

I loved being at Kasai's. Jenny was being super nice and very customer oriented. She easily understood what I was looking for. She was very helpful as a local tourguide, giving me hints for visits on my last day in the LA area ?

I find this place to be completely overrated. I went for a haircut and was underwhelmed. I say it's a lot of ego and branding going on with the main stylist, Kasai, but too little substance. The cut was mediocre at best. The whole experience was like visiting a cafeteria. I had a completely inexperienced person shampoo my hair on arrival and her fingers never made contact with my scalp. I had to ask her rewash it and do more than the surface of my hair. It almost seemed like she was afraid to touch my scalp. After Kasai cut my hair, he again dumped me with the same inexperienced assistant for the blow dry and flat iron while he jumped over to cut another man's hair in the station next to me. Again, the assistant had zero idea how to use a flat iron on hair. When I asked her to carry the flat iron all the way through to the ends of my hair, she left and found someone else to do it (then she stood nearby and watched as if she was learning). When the flat ironing was complete, my bangs were hanging in my eyes. I had to ask Kasai to come back and finish cutting my hair. Very disappointing experience and I won't be back.

I came to Kasai after growing my hair for the past 3 or so years. I came in a bit nervous since it's been a while since I cut my hair, but Kasai and his team were very kind and welcoming. Having Asian hair, I've had some bad cuts with previous stylists. I was a bit indecisive about what style I wanted so I showed him a few pictures of what I wanted for my hair, and Kasai was able to adjust the hairstyle to fit my face more. Kasai and his team work swiftly and precisely, and I was very happy with the result. The service is worth the price, and I definitely will be back for my future cuts.

Kasai salon very elegant and very clean, Kassi was taking time cutting my hair and suggested for me to get a hair treatment. I am so happy with my haircut! And definitely will be back and I highly recommend having your best hair cut with Kasai.

It was my first time coming here and LOVE it!! Kasai was my stylist and knew exactly what I needed/wanted - I have Asian hair and don't trust many people cutting my hair but so glad I came here. I showed him inspo pics of cuts I wanted, and he gave me exactly what I asked for. They don't try to oversell you here, and he was honest that I only need to come back in 6 months since I'm growing out my hair for my wedding next year. Thank you Kasai and team! P.S. please don't listen to Lani C's review down there. I was there, just about to leave, when this all went down and it seemed like she was the rude one demanding Kasai - and I didn't get a mean vibe from him at all. I saw him with other clients who weren't of "the same cultural origin" and he was kind to them also.

This guy is truly a cold j*** with terribly poor communication skills, esp with his front desk staff. I saw Kasai years ago and we had some differences of opinion on the cuts, and I admit I can be picky with my hair. So it ended badly. I still thought he was talented so i came back a few years later, even referred 2 friends who went to his stylist, Jun. I explained to the front desk girl that we had some problems years ago but I believed he was talented and wanted to try again "if it was okay". They said definitely. He treated me badly again, multitasked and barely spent any time on me. Then I decided to try his colorist and came back for some advice on how straight my hair lied. He treated me badly again saying I was using up his "time" (in an empty salon) - although he spent hardly any time on me the 1st visit. Let's just say the he does NOT communicate with his front desk and so he was never going to welcome me back or be kind to me. I even told the front desk if he doesn't want to spend more time, it's OK, but they said 'oh no, come on in'. Clearly they don't discuss things with him. So instead I wasted MY time by driving over and dealing with parking on a weekend. Very mean, and I've noticed on several occasions he seems to treat those of the same cultural origin better as well. What a horrifying experience. I kept trying to take responsibility for our interactions, but it was a waste - he truly is unkind and that type of treatment doesn't belong here in the south bay. Won't be referring him again and canceled my color treatment. Maybe this is why he had to downsize his salon and appts are always available. Wasted talent.

My son went in and got a haircut today, they charged $100 without a blow or style. he left with wet hair. They clearly took advantage of him since when he called they said it would be $60. Disappointed to say the least.

My son went in for a haircut, after calling and confirming $60. He left with wet hair, not blow dried or styled and charged $100. Clearly taken advantage of. Disappointed for a local hair salon to take. Advantage of kids.

Still going to Kasai's to get all of our hair cut...entire family...even the youngest now! He is a master and one of the nicest, most humble people for being such an artisan at his craft. What I love about Kasai is that he listens to you and works with you on the cut you want. I find that a lot of stylists want to cut hair their way, but not Kasai. Kind of puzzled by some of the negative reviews. He's a master at his craft...he's not going to spend hours. If you have the chance to have him style and cut your hair, you'll see how fast he works and snips - it's impressive. I was watching him cut my son's hair - got the long surfer look but wanted to go shorter. It was a treat to watch him get to work. Although I am mourning how short it is now (still long for most boys), it looks damn good. I'm thrilled that he's not in BH and in MB - even though it's still an hour drive for us, I wouldn't want anyone else cutting or styling my hair.

I greatly appreciate the artistry of the haircut I had with Kasai. It’s not your average experience! The staff, physical space and Kasai himself are all A+.

Oops a bit overdue! Within two weeks, two of my friends had separately recommended that I try Kasai Hair instead of spending half my day driving to Beverly Hills. I found my new salon!!! WAY closer to home and what fantastic service! From the reception, to the young man who shampooed my hair (I feel awful that I don't remember his name now!) to my haircut with Kasai-san! I LOVE my hair! It's been almost 2.5 months and my cut still looks great! He is quick and precise. I highly recommend him and the salon!!
