This little grocery has most, if not all your vegan needs. If you're trying to beat the crowds of some of the major markets like Whole Foods and you'd like to support the smaller businesses, then this place should be on your list. Prices are a bit high, but that trend seems to be everywhere nowadays.

I love shopping at GROW. I have so many favorites including the bourdelaise marinated tri-tip, filet mignon, freshly made salsa, chorizo, and the best quality produce... And if they have cherries, you MUST go home with some. Great not so little neighborhood store. It's a gem.

One of my favorite stores!! Love shopping here, family owned and a destination since moving out of Manhattan to Hermosa. Everything is A+, from customer service, high quality organic fruit and vegetables, cheese etc.......And, O baby, an upscale meat dept!! The best pork chops!! Ground Turkey and everything else. Last complement, fabulous cherries!! During cherry season I purchase bags of them!

Local, family run business!!! My family has been shopping here for over five years and always a wonderful experience. Produce is their specialty, but plenty of speciality items, organic items, full service meat/seafood deli and smoothies. They also have been delivering long before others started.

When the Google hours say '8'. Then the door is marked with a wax crayon to '7' but that door is locked. Another person in the parking lot is as frustrated. And then someone lets you in if you can 'shop fast'. But then the cashier reminds you it's 6:18 and the store closes at 6. After noting both the online time (and obviously Yelp time, too) and window time, the cashier advises there's a paper sign. Which reminded me why I both loathe and love online shopping. Get it together GROW.

GROW is a family owned, neighborhood grocery store with high quality produce and meats. They have some neat specialty items too. It's not the kind of store where you stock up on Doritos, rather they make use of every inch of their smaller footprint by filling it with organic and healthy options. (It's actually bigger inside than it looks from the street). It's also easy to pop in quickly for a couple of items as there is always parking and never long register lines.

My daughter and I stopped in Grow to buy snacks for our vacation. The store has an array of choices. The produce is fresh, and there are plenty of choices for people who eat gluten-free and/or dairy-free. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Nifty little shop on busy PCH so I imagine Grow has its share of busier than usual times. I was seeking Shooting Star Creamery cheese and decided to not follow the recommendation to call ahead of time to make sure it was in stock...which was okay because I wanted to check this little place out. Loved the pantry feel of this grocery store - bakers racks loaded with terrific selections of everything. A produce department filled with delightful options to kick up any recipe, and a few varieties of specialty fruits and veggies too (think rainbow chard, purple potatoes, watermelon radishes). The small cheese case didn't have what I was looking for, but in a pinch I could have easily satisfied my cheese craving and could have assembled a lovely cheese board. I missed the meat case, but my guy has frequented Grow for steaks, chops and chicken...and all of it has been delicious so I know they check the box there. There's a lot packed into Grow, more square footage than meets the eye. I understand grocery delivery is awesome and if this shop were a wee bit closer to me, I'd likely visit for those rare or hard to find groceries.

SouthBay-Grow location - The young man at the counter was extremely nice, helpful and very welcoming. However, the young brunette girl that works in the back doing smoothies, and working the deli was extremely rude, very dismissive when we asked for a juice. She barely said two words, then brought the machine out and was throwing things around as if she was angry that she had to do it. She came off so rude, didn’t even give me a straws, and when I said thank you, she said nothing. Will never buy juices there again! That little girl needs retraining and a major attitude adjustment!

We had THE best chicken in a long time tonight. While we are long time Grow customers and religiously buy our steaks, burgers, lamb and pork chops there, we have never bought their chicken breasts (sorry B and K!). Well, after noticing the YUGE quality difference between Grow chicken and everyone else’s, we will now only be buying Grow chicken breasts. Once again, the benefit of having a grocery store that can offer quality rather than bulk was substantiated. I highly encourage MB residents that care about food quality to visit Grow!

Retail space is MUCH larger than expected from exterior, so lotsa fun stuff to shop! I was seeking specialty items like purple carrots, MontMercy cherries, raw milk, beet juice with no luck BUT found so many other really kewl products I left most happy. They carry alot of unique nutrient dense items that are not available in other stores. Hence, think I will be coming back for more product surprises. I found delish probiotic drink as I am burnt out on Kambucha vinegar, seed bars with mulberries(?!), gluten free chocolate cookies, Turkish Coffee Ice Cream (OMG), and many other delectable options. For those who experience the Grocery Store as their social outlet, you get bored quickly with the same ol' selections at the Usual Suspects. High recommend for something different and exciting. The prices seem a bit high but I want to support local small business.
