The staff were kind and answered the questions I had about the clothes, and offered suggestions. I’m new to this area and they were helpful and pretty friendly! Only thing I’d like to nitpick is that the fitting room curtains/couch seemed a bit old/dirty, but the clothes themselves and staff were good. Recommend you to check it out.

Great quality clothing. I love the customer service. The size of the store is perfect. I went with my boyfriend to buy this dress we saw earlier this week and it was STILL there! We got so lucky. Thank you and we will be returning!

I recently lost my mom, unexpectedly. I found a few items with free people tags on them while cleaning her house out. I decided to stop at this location to see what could be done. Unaware of free people’s policies, nor did I have any clue which email my mom may have purchased them under. I was instructed to call customer service and sent away. As I do understand all stores have policies, my store associate didn’t even offer condolences or assistance on the number to call. A little understanding or sympathy would have been appreciated. I stopped by @ 11:00am on 1/28/23. Hopefully management can offer better training on customer service.

One of the managers, Ciara went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had (that was totally my fault!) and resolved it within an hour today. The store manager of this location was equally as helpful in approving a resolution for Ciara and I. So appreciative of the staff at this store & all they did for me! Big kudos to the entire Manhattan Beach Free People staff, thank you!! ?

i've been a free people customer for many years, both in store & online. each store's staff has been awesome, but the girls at the MB store are exceptional! they are helpful, kind, patient, & you can tell they enjoy where they work. thank you, free people MB!

I bought a 14k Gold Plated earring set here last week and the cashier told me how she’s had the same set for a while and what good quality it was. Lies, my earring just broke and I’m kicking myself for throwing out the receipt. I really want to love this store because the styles are so me but the quality continues to disappoint

I went to Free People right after a position for a stylist opened up online. I’m a hispanic woman who lives a few miles from this store and I know hundreds of the products by name. I’ve gone to free people events such as the 5ks and am very active in the URBN community. I currently attend a four year university nearby. I worked as a sales associate at Skechers down the street for nearly a year and was the top sales associate multiple times. I’ve worked at Anthropologie as a stylists therefore have experience with a fellow URBN store. I went in to speak with the hiring manager while returning an item because I’m a frequent shopper and asked about the position. I asked if they were hiring and she said yes. I asked her if she needed to know anything about me and she said no. I submitted my application online and was told if I was a match they would reach out because the position had not been filled. I asked multiple times if the position was filled because there was a job up the street that was willing to offer a position but I prefer Free People products. They said they would get back to me on Monday, they did not. I go in Monday and they say no interviews can take place because they did not have time given that Black Friday was that week. The store was completely empty. I went in another time to follow up and was told they needed more time to review applications because they did not have any time to get in touch with anyone. My application states I’ve worked with an URBN store in the past, I have sales experience, I go to a great university, I attend free people events, and have a passion for the companies products. I was considered unworthy of an interview. The elephant in the room is that the entire company is white. I spoke to a manager asking why I was not allowed an interview and she said it was filled. This is during the busy time that they could not speak to anyone or bring anyone in because it was Black Friday week. They told me they had not yet hired anyone and could not interview so I’m not sure how this happened. The new hire is not a person of color. When I told the manager that the company lacks diversity and I felt I was not given a fair opportunity she was very upset. The manager proceeded to state there is no issue with diversity. She said she is half white and half Mexican and felt compelled to share the only other person of color who is also half white half Mexican. As a person of color it is apparent stating the store has two people who are half white does not qualify as a diverse community. Instead it is stating the store does not have non white employees. Free People needs to address the major lack of diversity and the people representing the company do not care to make an effort. There need to be more managers and hiring managers who are people of color and who can fix the lack of diversity in the company.

A cute boutique style shop in Manhattan Beach right before the pier. You'll have to find parking in one of the structures or stroll in while walking the area. Lots of cute styles, a sale section, small jewelry section and changing rooms. The staff was friendly. Prices are higher than average. The store is somewhat small and not too much to choose from.

THIS IS FOR AN ONLINE ORDER NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION. So I ordered a specific product with a specific color and they chose so send me another color, I called them to see what could be done , they just said they would email me a return label um HELLO THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT IT WAS YOURS !!! I was supposed to wear this product to an event and will not be able to ship out and then reorder on time to use it , the least you can do is send me the right color, I SHOULD NOT have to waste MY time and resources to ship out the wrong product that YOU SENT me so refund me or send the right product ! It's not my fault you sent the wrong one and plus their customer service sucks I spend so much money on their app yea I had the app ! And they can't even do this for me after it's their fault You've been warned . So unhappy I love their clothes however it's become a thing of ethics now

Customer service 10/10 -- Kelsey and Courtney gave me fantastic feedback about the items I selected and were great at collaborating with my experience without taking it over. Great people, great store (I won't knock it for being super small, but a heads up to anyone looking for FP fitness outfits -- you can order them from here, but they don't carry any!) Thanks again!

This is my first review on Yelp, but I am fired up! The worst company I have ever dealt with. In short, I ordered boots. They sent to wrong city. Gave me the run around, and even after acknowledging their wrong doing and told me they would refund, they then told me I had to file a police report even though they delivered to wrong address. Again, got SUCH the runaround. I even said I would accept boots late. They said no. What a nice company to treat a loyal customer this way haha. My credit card company took care of everything in a snap and laughed at how I was treated by free People.

Excellent staff. All 3 young ladies were so helpful, friendly and offered suggestions on what to pair with what etc.. And yes each associate was wearing a ? mask. I generally shop in Santa Barbara or in Hawaii. Purchased quite a few online items for the first time and returned 2 items at this location. No problems with my return. I just purchased something else from this (Manhattan Beach) location. Plan on making this my California Free People Location for future purchases. Stay Safe Wear a Mask and Shop Free People ??♀️??

As a fellow shopaholic i feel the need to review a lot of clothing stores so people know what to expect. They have such unique clothing i fall in love from the beginning every time i arrive. Although they are expensive it is worth every cent.
