Pet Stores & Supplies
Tailwaggers Pet Store
437 Old Mammoth Rd, Mammoth LakesWe bought our dog on vacation to Mammoth with us and it's only right to treat him with goodies we can find. Conveniently located down the road from our Airbnb and next to vons, we wandered in to find the prices were a bit lower than another pet store we popped into. The case of baked dog treats was our pup's favorite though. They had a decently large selection of different flavors and sized treats for us to pick from for him, we even brought a couple home for our friends' dogs. The selection of toys and supplies available reassure me if I ever forgot anything for my dog I'd be comfortably set to get whatever I needed here.

Pet Grooming
Spoiled Rotten Pet Salon
94 Laurel Mountain Rd Suite 102, Mammoth LakesOur Nami was well taken care of, she has not stopped prancing. She is a nine year old husky and it was her first grooming appointment. I was nervous but there was no need to be. She has never been this clean (or white hah), so much shedding was reduced, and her little paws were trimmed to perfection. Thank you for taking such great care of my baby!

Alpen Veterinary Hospital
501 Old Mammoth Rd APT 5, Mammoth LakesMy senior cat was very sick and had a fever. They got her in that day getting her the antibiotics she needed. I was fearful she wasn’t going to make it last night but she pulled through and is getting much better this morning. Great vet listened to all our concerns, caring and experienced.

Distant Brewing
568 Old Mammoth Rd, Mammoth LakesDistant Brewing is a super cool spot in Mammoth Lakes. Great beer, great food. We ordered the pretzel sticks and BLTA. The house made beer cheese was incredible. The bread on the BLTA was crazy. Never had such a soft ciabatta with such a good crust. Bacon was obviously high quality and they threw cheese on it too, a nice surprise. They obviously care about their brewing as well. The brewery is attached to the tap room and restaurant. Any time I find a barrel aged sour that is done in traditional foeder style, I have to order it. Distant did not disappoint. Their beer had a bit more wood flavor to it but still a great showing for the style. They have just about something for everyone. Light beer, dark beer, hoppy beer, and a few non-beer alcoholic options too. The space here is also rad. They seem to often have live music. When we were there on a Saturday night, it was packed even without the music. They have a few pool tables and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. I know that Distant will always be on my brewery list when in the Mammoth area from now on. Cheers!

Mammoth Rock 'N' Bowl
3029 Chateau Rd, Mammoth LakesDo not be turned off by the location and the fact that the restaurant is on top floor of a bowling alley and guests need to walk through the boleing crowd to their table.
The food is exceptionally good.
Service is ultra friendly with a personal touch.
We will include this on our future list of restaurant on our next visit.

The Warming Hut
343 Old Mammoth Rd, Mammoth LakesWe came here in the off-season but their game was not off. So much of their food is made in house and it shows! It was so delicious. We went back three times during our short stay in Mammoth. I can't recommend the Reuben enough. And even their ketchup is fantastic! All of the servers were very nice. Make sure to get there early so you don't have to wait so long but even if you do, it's worth it.

Shelter Distilling
100 Canyon Blvd #217, Mammoth LakesWe visited Shelter Distillery during our family vacation to Mammoth and were pleasantly surprised to find them open on Thanksgiving. Instead of a traditional holiday meal, we opted for a day on the slopes and decided to check out this spot in The Village for dinner. Pros: - Open on Thanksgiving: Major points for this, as not many places were. We weren't sure they'd be open since they don't answer their phone, but we decided to drop by anyway, and it was buzzing with activity. - Seat Yourself/QR Code Ordering: We like the ease of this system--perfect for a busy night. - Food Highlights: The poblano artichoke dip was a standout for us--packed with flavor, creamy, and comforting without being spicy. The steak sandwich, while slightly chewy and overcooked, still had fantastic flavors overall. Cons: - Cocktail Experience: While their spirits are fantastic, the cocktail menu could use some diversity. Many drinks leaned heavily on shrubs, which, while creative, can taste overly vinegary if not balanced properly. Consistency was also an issue; the same cocktail tasted noticeably different when ordered multiple times. Additionally, some drinks didn't quite match their descriptions, which made navigating the menu tricky without more guidance. Overall Impressions: Shelter Distillery has a cool vibe and a great concept, especially for craft cocktail lovers. While there were a few misses, the food was enjoyable, and we loved the atmosphere. We'd definitely return, but we'd love to see their cocktail menu refined to better showcase their amazing spirits. If you're in Mammoth and looking for something different, Shelter Distillery is a great spot--especially if you're in the mood for creative cocktails and tasty bites after a day on the slopes!

Liberty Sports Bar and Grill
3399 Main St, Mammoth LakesTLDR: great burgers and fries, ok atmosphere.
We had the Liberty burger and bacon burger, and both were juicy and delicious, although there were spots where one of the patties was a bit burnt. The fries were great - crispy, hot, and fresh. And of sufficient quantity. The clam chowder was a bit sweet for my tastes, but was fairly hearty and a larger portion than I expected. Overall a good food experience. The location itself is not very special, a sports bar with multiple TVs showing games, but with the audio for only one game playing. There looks to be a stage so maybe there are live music nights some time, which could liven up the place.
