I was there at 4:30pm 5/24 and the employee there was extremely uninformed on how to scan an international package. The entire situation lasted until after 5 and he locked me in the store… I have shipped many USPS packages internationally and I had to look up how to do his job. He didn’t know he had to enter the tracking number if the barcode didn’t work… he then said that the zip code wasn’t working… I said it’s a Spain zip code bro not US it’s a different process… he refused to take my package and therefore it couldn’t go out. Also he asked me why I came late at 4:30? They are open until 5 and I said I have a job??? Completely rude rolling his eyes and will not ever be going back to this location as a local in Malibu…
Went to a Santa Monica location and took the lady 4minutes to weigh, and scan the package. She told me that all he had to do is bypass the zip code as that is how to do an international package…
Really not trying to blast this guy but honestly most traumatic experience at USPS he made me feel horrible!!
Wish him the best and hope he can get more training in customer service + overall process knowledge xx

THANKS FOR NOT SCANNING ITEMS AS DELIVERED WHEN YOU PLACE THEM INTO PO BOXES!!! COST ME $$ AND NEGATIVE REVIEW!! ANSWER THE PHONE!! DAVID FAILED TO GET BACK TO ME AND REFUSES TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY!! AVOID!!!

I'm a Malibu resident and I used to go to the post office across the street from my house and Maria was always nice and wonderful. Now they have this new lady who's always rude with customers and always on her earphones talking while we are waiting to be attendant.Now I rather drive 10 minutes to other locations in Malibu then deal with her.

The postal ladies at the counter are super friendly and great at giving out information regarding local events and issues. Or just ask for directions. They are great source for local guides, restaurants, and shops. You can also find out about other cultures of your neighbors. Current local news where their family reside. Wonderful to see our world become smaller and closer together.
