Very grateful to them for stitching my dogs leg up after a incident but when I took him to get his stitches they also neutered him without telling me before and even after the stitches they didn’t tell me they had neutered him until I saw myself.

We are so thankful for the Sam Simon Foundation!! Our almost 3 year old cat, Alan, needed his eye removed due to some sketchy looking freckles he had growing. They were able to remove his eye, send it for biopsy, and prescribe pain meds + gabapentin to keep him calm, all for free! The biopsy did come back as diffuse iris melanoma-grade 1, and thanks to ssf covering the surgery and biopsy cost, we were still able to afford to take Alan to a regular vet afterwards for x-rays to make sure it didn't spread. Alan is the light of our lives and we were so worried we wouldn't be able to get him the care he needed because we had originally been quoted $2500, just for the surgery. My husband is a disabled veteran who just left the service, we are new to LA and are currently low income, expecting our first (human) baby, and struggling after some unforseen expenses. This all couldn't have come at a worse time, but we were able to get through it thanks to these kind people. Dr. Mori and the rest of the team are absolute life savers, and we're so happy we found them! They truly seem to care about the animals they see.

Lifesavers! They paid for our dog's surgery when we could not afford it. I sure wish there were more charities like this one who could help more people obtain medical care for their pets! God Bless Sam Simon!

The Sam Simon Foundation is a wonderful foundation that helped me with my puppy pet. I was unemployed and desperately looking for employment with no luck in sight. Luckily, I met the foundations financial qualifications in order to have my 5 month old puppy neutered, chipped and all his necessary vaccines administered. I'm eternally greatful to The Sam Simon Foundation for assisting me with my puppy's health needs when I was in a financial crisis.

This is Daisy. Daisy had a very large benign tumor. That was growing out of control. When I contacted Sam Simon foundation, they were fast to respond. Acted with care and was finished with Daisy’s surgery in about 5 hours. Daisy and I are very grateful for the second life she received. Still running strong. Thank You Sam Simon!!

I'm very grateful for the Sam Simon Foundation. They provided me with a trained Hearing Dog to assist me with door knocks, name calls, and phone rings by giving me a nudge and showing me the sound. The team at the Sam Simon Foundation (Barb, Lori, and Jackie) were professional, attentive, and kind throughout the placement process and generously provide on-going support. When Lori came to my home for the initial consultation she explained their process as a match-making service for service dogs and HoH (Hard of Hearing) humans. Then Lori gave me the best gift of all: A beautiful service dog, a Yellow Lab, that I call Sunshine.Sunshine has improved my life immeasurably and I love him dearly. He is not only a professional Service Dog who helps me at home and in public but he also provides me with companionship, comfort, and love.

I was recommended to contact The Sam Simon Foundation through another pet foundation ..I had been filling out applications almost everyday trying to find someone to help me pay for my dogs huge mass on his nose that was scabbing and bleeding and weeping and it stunk bad! It was getting worse and worse .. finally I was recommended to contact Sam Simon foundation so I clicked on the website and looked it over and it was exactly what I needed for my dog .. I knew I would qualify ..but yet I was sceptical because I had been turned down by others since my dogs issue wasn’t life threatening. So I applied and I was screened and me and my dog were accepted! I literally cried on the phone with the lady because I was so happy that they were there to help me.I drove all the way to Up north the Los Angeles area from San Diego to have this surgery done .. but I would of drove anywhere to have this mass removed from my dogs nose. I could not afford it and Sam Simon said they would take care of it…all with no cost to me! It’s been three weeks since my dog had his surgery and he is recovering just perfect. Sam Simon is a mobile clinic..so don’t let that discourage u from having your dog treated by the doc and his staff! They are all super sweet and friendly and there’s no need to judge something from the outside ..because it’s on wheels .. but if you all been inside an mobile home then u know how nice they can be ..most importantly.. they care about animals and it shows ! I love Sam Simon foundation and the entire staff for helping me when nobody else would! I tell everybody about the Sam Simon foundation if they are low income or need help with there pets surgery of some type of removal of a mass or cyst etc..or even to be fixed then it won’t hurt to fill out an application . The only thanks I can give is to spread the word ..so that’s what I’m going to do. Sam Simon does not except public donations so I asked what can I do to show thanks and they said write a review .. so here it is and I’m absolutely going to cont to spread the word on such a GREAT GREAT foundation! Thanks Sam Simon foundation you and the entire staff I’m not sure I can thank you guys enough! Keep on doing what u guys do! Your angels in my eyes!

Thank goodness for the Sam Simon Foundation. Think Beverly Hills, or another high falutin location, for the level of care they provide -- care that people who can afford to would pay top dollar to receive. Their Mobile Veterinary Clinic has been so good to my furry daughter, Ruby, and I trust them implicitly. Dr. Mori DVM has performed surgery on Ruby three times and a fourth visit is scheduled. The first three visits involved removing benign lipomas (lumps), and on the 3rd visit, one of Ruby's eyes had to be removed, as well.Every aspect of her care has been excellent. It's obvious that all of the staff are dog lovers, and they have great people skills, too. Dr. Mori has met with my husband and me, before each procedure, to outline what will be done and answer any questions. The staff members who have escorted Ruby into the trailer and helped with returning her to our car, have also been wonderful. In addition to the free surgery for those who qualify for help, all medication and "cones of shame" are provided free of charge. There are excellent aftercare instructions and staff members have always called to check on how Ruby was doing, after her surgeries. As a longtime fan of The Simpsons, this program is extra special to me. I watched a televised interview with Sam Simon, co-founder of the show, before he passed away from cancer. It was conducted at his large property in Malibu, where he set up a sanctuary for mistreated and abandoned dogs. His generosity and compassion touched and impressed me in a profound way. He has used his wealth to make Los Angeles a better place for people and dogs, and his legacy lives on. Thank you, Sam, and thank you to everyone involved in the foundation.

Words are inadequate to express the positive life changing impact the Sam Simon Foundation made in our life. My husband is a recent recipient of a hearing assistance dog. Our new family member (assistance dog) provides freedom and peace of mind with his trained abilities. It’s fostered an independence and ability to interact with people and the world at large that simply could not be accessed before his arrival. Every step of the process from beginning to now has been with kindness and professionalism. The work and commitment taken by every team member of the foundation in beyond measure. This was not just receiving the gift of a dog but the gift of a better, richer life. Thank you Sam Simon (your legacy is grand), Barb, Kim, Lori, and Jackie...words are inadequate.
