I just spent a magical week here. Zero complaints. The price was great, rooms were clean and the mattress was above average for a hotel. They keep this place up, nothing was run down. The observation deck at the back is an excellent place to spend time. I didn't get to swim much because of water temp, oh well. It was a decent smaller pool with a nice lounge area. It's not the quietest, but I'm a heavy sleeper and was fine. There is a great Pizza shop next door too.

This motel is located on the Pacific Coast Highway and has great views of the Pacific Ocean. The only downside is the noise from the cars of the PCH. But if you keep the windows closed it’s fine.

Highly recommend this no nonsense understated luxury hotel with short walk to beach, eateries and the pier. It's ideal for the well traveled who are used to international travel and like to explore all of Malibu at a reasonable price!

Personally, I would not recommend this place especially for families with kids. The absence of soundproof windows/walls, combined with the location right on a major street, can be disruptive and keep you awake. There is inadequate security for in-and-out access to the building. I would have appreciated being informed during check-in that typically no one is in the front office after 6 pm.Upon returning to the hotel in the evening, I found the main office closed with no one present, only a note on the door with a phone number for assistance after 6 pm. Despite having paid for the room, I ended up just dropping off the keys and leaving because I did not feel safe. If these concerns had been made clear from the beginning, future guests might have had a better idea of what to expect regarding these matters.

Great experience! The ocean view and smell are worth the stay alone. The staff offered excellent service and were very friendly. You probably won’t find a better deal in Malibu, CA. They are very accommodating to dogs as well. Highly recommend!

Avoid booking here solely for its somewhat modern appearance and competitive pricing in the area. For the overall experience isn’t worth it. While it may be convenient for a quick in-and-out during your day, providing access to a private bathroom or shower after a beach day, it’s not advisable for an overnight stay. Just don't do it, especially not recommended for families.

I had the best time in Malibu and this hotel was fantastic. My room was great, had everything I needed and I especially like the 2 Dove chocolates and boxed water. My bed was super comfy and although we were right on the PCH, I heard nothing and didn't need the earplugs that were graciously provided.I really liked the bath products. And my bed and linens were super comfy.I requested late checkout because it was a gorgeous day and I wanted to enjoy the pool. I had the pool to myself and read my book and relaxed. The hotel was accommodating and allowed me an extra three hours for a small fee and I'm so thankful for that.The location is clutch. So convenient to all the Malibu things I wanted to.I will stay here again and think you should, too!

Just checked in around 5.30pm , receptionist informed us because they close at 6pm so they already checked us into a room. We settle in our room and around 6.30pm someone starts banging on the door. When we answer the door this random man threatens us to get out of his room.We we try to call at the number provided to report the incident no one answers the call. There is a reason why this hotel is rated 2 star. Please don't ever book your room here and risk your life. I repeat don't ever book at this hotel.Safety: Highly unsafeNoteworthy details: Pathetic hotel with zero safety.

The staff is great! Rooms have an ocean view, and are right across the street from the water. Walkable to a few great restaurants. Super convenient location.

Stay somewhere else. Buyer beware.Hot as an attic. Ac unit did not work. Tv did not work. Parking on a slant. Highway noise is louder than you think and you'll need the windows open bc the ac doesn't work.Manager is slimey. Tried to gaslight me. "no it's fine" lol.Crossing the hwy to the ocean sucks. Don't believe me? Read some other reviews that echo the same.

I’m just warning people not to make a reservation unless they’re positive they won’t need to change it.I tried for two days to drop the second day of our reservation—they wouldn’t answer the phone or my emails.We finally got it over with, but what a hassle it was.

I have had a lot of experiences staying at hotels and motels for work out of town but I was blown away with how nice this place is compared to the negative reviews. If only they had a microwave it would have been even better. Stayed here for a week and would highly recommend even to those looking for nice place to vacation.
