WOW, just WOW! The Food Service depts in this store were unbelievable... & not in a good way. Old looking Foods in Deli, Dirty, Service was a C- at best. Will be shopping elsewhere. Yuk!

Worst customer service. I was helped by a cashier named Jesus, he was utterly rude and impolite. Asked him for a wine cart for the 8 wines that I bought, he is responds to me with "I wouldn't recommend it" as if I asked for his opinion. Then he hands me the wine box, flat unmade, and starts speaking in Spanish with a coworker. Seriously rude.

Decent market but for a beach city location the deli department is HORRIBLE. Grumpy rude and indifferent service. Gave it several chances and both visits got the vibe that making me a sandwich was too much a bother. They need a decent deli manager to get this department up to speed.

Nick (I think he's the store manager but not full sure) is always incredibly helpful. He's helped me track down the last remaining bag of Have'a Chips (on the bottom shelf under tons of other bags), find a smaller bag of Doritos so I didn't have to waste any, and I've seen him bend over and make concessions to keep a very demanding local customer happy. He is kind, funny, and communicative, an asset to this store. Thank you, Nick! What could improve: There is a wide range of skill levels at the sandwich counter. I've been going there on beach days forever but it's really a gamble. I feel like there could be better training for the people making sandwiches. While they're a great value, they should be consistently well-made.

The Latin girl, Brunella, i think is her name, was the most efficient, the most friendly deli worker i've have ever encountered! I find that many, if not most of these workers, begrudgingly scoop out food for the customer and seem to hate it when you ask for something else. But not her. She serves you with a smile on her face, helping you with whatever question you have. She is a model example employee, and it's a shame there are not more market workers like her!

The sushi chefs are rude af, and totally disgusting, smoking cigarettes directly outside the market, then using those same cancer ridden hands to make your rolls? Sickening. Management should stop this. Even if they wash their hands- still not healthy. On top of this I can't even count the number of times where I thanked them for making my sushi, or adding what I asked etc, to only have angry face, no smiles, no your welcomes back . Sad and rude. Malibu location should do better. -every other staff that works there is super nice and helpful. Still a good market regardless of the sushi chefs...

Ralph's Malibu is great. It's an unofficial community center and the cashiers are the nicest bunch of people. Yeah, it's a drag when they rearrange everything every 5 years or so, but it's a nice and reliable spot. They don't have the exotic items - Vintage or Whole Foods is better for that - but they've got tons of variety, especially if you have dietary needs. It is true that the deli service counter can be really slow, so that's one area I tend to avoid.

A couple of days ago, I had to have help taking groceries to my car as they were heavier than usual. The checker asked JD to help me. He pushed cart to my car, , lifted bags & case of water into my car. JD was very pleasant & helpful. I really appreciated the help that day. Thanks JD Also, today 5/9, went to Ralph's again as checker rang me up wrongly last week. I spoke with Nick the mgr. and he told me to bring receipt & we'll give your $$ back. I spoke with Norberto when arrived & received my $$ back, no problems at all. I really appreciate Ralph's Malibu

Great selection and service. It's one of the best grocery stores I have seen. Excellent service at the meat department from Vlad and Conner. They fried salmon for me. And it was amazing. Great service and professionalism. Good job!!

First of all, the people that work here have always been kind and helpful. Always. Been shopping here for 10 years. What prompted me to write this review was my recent visit when I heard on the intercom that Ralphs requires masks from both workers and customers. That is fantastic. The overpriced, over trendy Whole Foods allows entitled evil scum to walk around maskless. My only ask of Ralphs is to offer more organic options and maybe have a health food section. You have pretty much everything our family buys, but it would be good to have more options. Ralphs, thanks for the 10 years of great service.

I live in Santa Monica but I drive to the Ralph's in Malibu. The main reason is the staff and selection of goods. Even if I come at 10 PM wanting something from the bakery or slightly before close with a carload of groceries the staff is always helpful and polite and courteous.

Me and Milla love you all. Truly. To the public,.... Please be good to these employees in Malibu. Absolutely have helped me and my daughter so much. Truly I can call Ralph's in Malibu my family.
