The Marine Layer store in Malibu Country Mart is small and cozy shop that is filled with a vast selection of casual wear with a beach-like and oceanic style. The store featured apparel with the signature Marine Layer stripes on several different pieces.

My boyfriend & I made a quick roadtrip stop on Thanksgiving weekend and came across Marine Layer in person! We had shopped the brand online, but had never been into the retail store. Kyler at the Malibu location was SO helpful. He was funny, kind, and honest, while helping us to pick out styles, running to the back for sizes countless times and giving advice on styling. His positive attitude and kindness really made our stop a happy one, we can't wait to exchange our "secret" picks this Christmas!

Krista is amazing! She knows the merchandise and was so helpful on the phone while I was doing my xmas shopping. I even called back multiple times and she was as kind as before. I am so excited to give my gifts this holiday season and owe it all to Krista's help!

I first stepped into a Marine Layer in Portland. I loved the space. It's in an old house that has been converted. The manager was friendly and very helpful. We bought several things and were excited to hear there was a store in Malibu. And Venice. CA that is. Their merchandise is casual and comfortable. Well made and washed up nicely. I still have the articles of clothing I bought in Portland two or three years ago. The staff are always pleasant and willing to assist. I've taken out-of-town guests into Marine Layer and they like the-laid-back-CA-feel of the clothing.

I had never heard of Marine Layer until a friend of mine recently was hired there. I decided to visit him and see what it was all about. I may be bias, but the customer service was incredible and the manager was super nice. Aside from the service, the products are stylish, tasteful, and feel extremely soft. I was made aware of a clothes donation box shaped like a mailbox drop where they recycle the thread to make new clothes, very cool! Other customers walked in and they seemed to be repeat customers, which is always a good sign of product quality. Definitely go check it out!

Of all Marine Layer stores I've visited or purchased from, Marine Layer Malibu has the best service, by far. Krista was professional, timely in all email responses, and bent over backwards to accommodate my requests. Next time I buy from Marine Layer, I'm definitely calling the Malibu store!

Marine was really friendly and let us try on the perfect size 6 pants. We needed three 6s and they didnt have them because they are a small batch local store so she offered to order them online not to mention the "on the house" shipping. If i could give 666! Stars i would have. Xo
