Such a kind and wonderful spot. I feel so relaxed knowing my dog is in such good hands. She is so happy to go stay with the staff. Really appreciate the kindness of everyone at the Hotel.

Fantastic happy place. My dog runs towards the building, ecstatic to see his friends daily. The owner Leslie is an amazing, sweet, kind human being.

I've been asked by the owners to edit my review, which I have, see below.We have used this hotel about 3 years ago and had a less than ideal experience where the staff didn’t feed our dogs the correct amount of food (even though it was pre weighed and labelled for each meal) and we were greeted with 2 very skinny look Labradors.Sorry MDH, but you need to get your act into gear.

I can't say enough good things about this daycare! They are so helpful and knowledgeable and so sweet to my dog! My Sammy was very shy and they got him acclimated and used to the other dogs and he's so excited now whenever we pull up. He starts whining excitedly when he realizes where we are and can't wait to get inside! Leslie and Miles are caring and patient and really made a difference in his social life! I encouraged my neighbor to try them out for her yorkie and she now brings him twice a week to play in their small dog group! 5 stars for this daycare!

I found out about this place from a friend and I absolutely love them. The owner is such a sweetheart and treats everyone's dog like if they were her own! I bring my dog here weekly and feel so safe doing so. My dog is my baby and I love him more than anything. He always seems to be having so much fun when he's here! Xoxoxo

What a wonderful dog friendly environment. I dropped my dog Echo off and I didn't want to leave, he has the most fun when we take him to Malibu Canine Connection. Leslie is truly wonderful. Great to know that there are places like this that care. Thank you so much, Echo is so blessed to have a great place to go.

I absolutely love this facility. I am so glad I found this doggy daycare. I will not take my dog to any other daycare. Their level of care and professionalism is unmatched! My dog is more of a sensitive and needy breed and I feel so comfortable with him being here. This is a true Malibu gem!

It’s been a few years since we boarded there, but back when it was called Sandpiper Kennel they used to do a great job of taking care of my dog. It was the *only* place he was happy to go to because Patti and the Manager were so good to him.

this Is a great place to bring your pooch. There is a brand new owner and new competent staff. Dogs are happy, socialized and get lots of one on one attention. Training is top notch featuring Kirstin McMillan and her crew. Updated play yard with amazing water feature and play groups. Dog boarding and grooming. This place is great and no exposure to sick animals like boarding at a vets. And to top it off... a room with an ocean view.

Very sad the owners changed. Ignacio is still great but the new owners are not. I go to Oxnard, Inglis Pet Hotel now. Out of the way, but worth it.

If I had written this review a few months ago before Sandpiper Pet Hotel was sold and changed its name to Malibu dog hotel I would have given them five stars. I have been going there for many years Patti Alan and Ignacio are all wonderful, devoted, loving and caring. and the prices were great too. But since the new owner came in and tripled their prices, I was willing to stick it out because of the wonderful staff. My dog was there when Malibu was evacuated during the recent fires and the dedication that Patti, Alan and Ignacio showed was incredible. They drove them to safety and were unwilling to leave them at a shelter because they were unable to stay with them. Instead took them at a safe place to walk and feed all the dogs until they could find a safe place for the dogs to go. Today I learned that Patti and Alan were let go. That was the only reason I was going to board my dog during Christmas because I know he would have been well looked after as in previous years but without Patti and Alan my dog will never be stepping a paw there again. So disappointed in the changes this new owner has made.

Patti is a sweetheart and really took great care of my dog Basil. I highly recommend Sandpiper to everyone! It's very affordable too.
