Purchased my first firearm here and the process was smooth. Called every gun store in the 559 trying to find the gun I wanted and everybody was out of stock or had ridiculous prices but I was able to find it at Zak’s no problem and at a very good price. Staff were very helpful. I didn’t have any issues with anybody being “rude”. At the end of the day it’s a gun store so understand it might be hard to keep track of the order of customers since they probably have so many things to think about/deal with so just be patient and respectful. Would gladly make the drive here any day.

You know i been here 2 times and i have had very bad experinces both times i been there with the girl with the glasses. The first time it didnt seem like she wanted to help me. She seemed like she was bothered by my presence. Reguardless of that i was there to buy a gun not talk so i bought my gun and i was on my way. The owner seems really nice tho. The second time which was today i walked in and it was kinda busy, on top of that i think it was lunch time so i didnt want to bother anyone. I noticed there was 1 gentlemen ahead of me and the owner was with a customer. The girl with the glasses, well she was in the middle of lunch so i did my best to mind my own business untill she was ready for me. As i was waiting to get helped a woman walked in maybe 5 min after me and maybe 5 min after that a couple walked in and stood near the display case. I know the girl with glasses did noticed me first because we made eye contact before she took her first bite out her sandwich. When she was done she completely ignored me walked up to the couple and helped them out for like 5 min. Then she ignored me again and helped the other lady which took another 10 min to ring her up for her ammo. I honestly felt very disrespected and humiliated. I know she knew i was there first. My guess was she was hoping the owner would help me out insead of her. Im not the type of person to make a scene at the store or go online and give a bad review because of 1 employee but i think this should be atleast addressed. Im honestly embarrassed to be writing this right now but i felt really bad and no one should have this kind of experience.

Working with Rohi was a breeze this afternoon as I came to meet a gentleman for a private transfer. Probably the quickest transfer I've ever done and with smiles from the staff all around. When the buyer suggested meeting here over Sportsman's or The Range, two other shops closer to Fresno, I was reluctant over the drive out of town but so so glad I did. Rohi and the folks at Zak's made it easy and enjoyable. I even walked out with a new knife and some ammunition too. The 2A owners in Madera are very lucky to have such a great crew of people at Zak's to help with their security and firearms needs. Thanks Rohi!

I was looking for a Springfield 1911 EMP for almost a whole year, couldn't find anywhere.Ended up getting ahold of Zack and in 3 days he called me back confirming that the gun was being shipped to his store.Great customer service, easy process and competitive price.Skip the big box store, I definitely recommend these guys.

I bought my first gun here a Glock 19 I was in and out within 10 minutes I was so surprised how fast and professional everything went came back 10 days later to pick it up out in 5mins I recommend this place very friendly. This review has been a long time coming. I'm fairly new to collecting firearms and one of the things that made my start easier was doing constant business with Zak's. Friendly, easy to talk to no hassle at all during transactions. They've been having great deals on ammo lately and whenever they get a number of firearms in they are always fairly priced. There's not much else that can be said. If you do ever spend you money at this particular gun store you won't be disappointed.

Lady told me i couldn’t buy a shotgun because I was under 21 but I had a hunting license . Lady doesn’t know about the laws. Avoid this place if your under 21

Was picking up a gun and I live in Fresno but the owner wasn't there. Ended up waiting some time and for my inconvenience he helped me free of charge to insure good customer service. Highly recommend. Good guy
