El Mercado Market is a very affordable supermarket for food and drinks located in the center of Madera. It is a small store but carries lots of hard to find Hispanic items and is always packed. It has a good meat market and an even better liquor and beer area with bomb prices. The store is good on pricing for items like eggs and milk. The tacos in the deli restaurant are very delicious, with tacos big and packed with meat and handmade tortillas. The meat tastes fresh. The burritos have a good balance of ingredients. The price is moderate. The owners are extremely friendly. A negative thing is the extremely long checkout lines all the time, which block the aisles. There is also very limited parking, but there is available parking across the street and access to a nearby bus stop. Overall, it is a nice place.
I liked their prices, it was worth driving from a distance to save some money.

The people who run this store are pretty cool. Their store is always packed M-Sunday. I've never been there when it's not busy.

Small store but carries lots of hard to find Hispanic items. Good meat market but an even BETTER Liquor & beer Area!! The owners are extremely friendly!! They also have a food to go menu.
