I went to buy shoes for back to school and spend more then $400 dollar I felt discrimination by the store manager i highly don't recommend shopping here 8/7/22 at 5pm

Not good service at all.I had service people walking around not asking can I help you.Once I did finally rope a salesperson They act like they really didn't want to help me Counter service was poor.

Small store packed with lots of sporting goods. Employees are always busy but will at least tell you..Well be right with you if you need help. Good prices on various types of shoes.

The lady was extremely rude about face masks. We did not even argue about putting them on and went to go get one but she continued to be rude and awful. Zero customer help. STAY AWAY!!! Go to FRESNO!!

My buddy and I went in to Big 5 this afternoon to pick up some ammunition. First my buddy had to run back to his truck because he forgot his mask, strange since if you want to do business, heck why not offer your customers a mask, to begin with? That said, we were unfamiliar with the new ammo laws, since we haven't purchased ammo in a very long time. The manager on staff didn't go into the details of the law, just ran a check and said my buddy was rejected as we didn't meet the requirements. I failed because technically I'm not a citizen of the State of California because I didn't have a real ID. The manager handed my buddy a form, with no other direction other than to fill it out. I tried to get him to explain what was needed, but he didn't really want to spend the time needed to educate us. Just an unfortunate way to do business. No accommodations, rude, no solutions, attempted to shame us and didn't offer any true help in the matter. Very sad as Big 5 was always a very cool store.

Went in to get sum running shoes and a knife for my son..the associate Johnny w the curly hair was more than helpful..helped me pick sum good quality shoes and the perfect knife..above n beyond..we need more Johnnys ..the whole staff was courteous even with bein overwhelmed w customers ..??
