Incredibly grateful to the staff of this pharmacy. I have medical insurance as a veteran. It's been quite difficult verifying Covid vaccine coverage at other pharmacies. An employee of this pharmacy took the time to confirm my coverage ahead of the appointment. And the vaccine process was quick and easy. Everyone I interacted with was fantastic. Thank you!

Pharmacist helpful, follows up with prescribers; accurate notices: When they say it’s ready it’s ready! Minimal lines; more personal experience.

I find the pharmacists working here to be very friendly and efficient. When I needed medication they didn't have it in stock, they notified me immediately and offered to send the prescription over to another local Safeways pharmacy that had the specific meds in stock. Also, they are amazing about getting my prescriptions filled quickly. They are not stingy with their free N95 masks either. So get yours today.

Any other pharmacy should learn from this one. The staff is always helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. The service is always top notch, and by the third or forth visit, they remembered and always greet me by name. They always help when there are issues, and quick and efficient when it's a simple pick up. I shouldn't say this (because I want it all to myself) but the lines are never long here. No attitude or chaos here either. So refreshing vs the "Big W" across the street. IF there is an issue, it's simple, you go grocery shop for a little bit, and come back. Always very polite and helpful.

The pharmacist goes out of his way to help getting medication you need: forced to go to ED to get RX for migraine medication, the pharmacist contacted my new MD to asks for refills-- much more than asking for a routine refill. The pharmacist does billing for you to pick up free COVID test kits: other pharmacists ask you to pay upfront, then submit your own paperwork. Over and over again, my pharmacist has gone above & beyond. I started here to use GoodRX for medication thinking the pharmacy to be a back-up, then learned the space is relatively small, the expertise & running of pharmacy surpasses many larger places: no longer my back-up pharmacy.

I went to Safeway Los Gatos today. I pay my items at the self service machine. I start scanning my items then the machine voice kept telling me to remove the items in the baggage. So I put my item in the other side of the machine and continue scanning. But the machine still telling me to remove it. So I called for help. I lady came and scan her ID. She asked me if I can all the items in my grocery bag. I said yes, so he left. So I continue to scan the last Item which is the cherries, that costs me 19 bucks. Then I proceeds to pay it. After I pay and have my receipt, I Look at it and call back the lady to help cuz the other items didn’t registered? Then she start yelling at me. She said that she asked me if the items in the bag’s already scan? Which I answered her yes, because It’s true that I did scan it, but didn’t know it wasn’t ho through. So I told her that okay Im sorry I didn’t know, and just help me to do something so I can pay it. She brought me to the other machine and she start scanning it and she still mad. When everything ready to pay. I put my card. Then something pop up on the screen and I cannot continue. The machine is little higher than me, so I can’t see what is it. So I asked her what is it! She lower it and said it’s questioner. She hit the number 10. Then I asked her oh.. is that a survey question? She said yes and I click cancel. So I told her NO.. you click the 10. What a liar! After she yell at me she think she deserves 10? Well it’s not about the survey for me it’s about how she handled the situations. I didn’t even realized how easy it is to solve. If I know that I will just to scan again the items that not registered the first time and pay it, I should do it myself and not bother her. But my brain didn’t work that time. My BAD!!

Carolyn in the pharmacy had a very difficult customer in front of me and took a long time she was extremely professional and polite even though it took a very long time to take care of this customer I was amazed at her professionalism safely as lucky to have an employee like Carolyn in the pharmacy

It is your regular run of the mill Safeway. One thing I find annoying is there is nowhere to tie up your dog if you walk there with your dog. They will absolutely not let you bring your dog into the lobby area which I do not understand at all. It is completely separate from the food but they are very adamant about bringing your dog into the lobby and I have been yelled at several times.

1 out of 5 times I go to this Safeway, they're out of stock on something I need. And these aren't very hard items to come by, these are the absolute necessities of any grocery store. I went in to get some ingredients I needed to bake some Christmas cookies and they had no confectioners sugar. How does a grocery store not have any confectioners sugar during the holidays?! Had to drive 5 minutes to the Luinardis nearby and they had shelves of confectioners sugar there. I'm officially never coming back to this Safeway.

This is the absolute worst Safeway I have been there in my time on earth. i live a block away and I avoid it as often as I can. The checkers are unfriendly and often rude. The store is forty and the managers do not care when I have attempted to talk to them. Please take a wrecking ball to it and turn it into a park!

Terrific pharmacy. Courteous, professional and pleasant. The exact opposite of Walgreens across the street.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience with Katie the checker today. She yelled at my husband and myself to scoot back then blamed us for the elderly people bending us moving forward. She was rude and unprofessional and Safeway should do a better job in their hiring. I won't shop at that Safeway anymore due to Katie and her unprofessionalism.

Obviously a poorly managed store loved only by those who don't know better. It's amazing how consistently they are out of stock...and for sure not only on today's scarcer items. It's only advantage for me is it's proximity to my home.

A package of Safeway Lucerne brand cheese, unopened, turned out to be moldy, still unopened in the packet. When I went to return it to the store for a credit ($4) a week later they would not give me credit without the receipt. "How do I know you didn't have it for a month?" was the cashier's response. Left a bad taste in my mouth for this store (local to me, too).

Visited the area and while checking out my groceries, my checker excused herself and started going on a coughing spree AFTER removing her mask. This was about 5-6pm. I should have left my items she proceeded to touch after I paid. The only other customer behind me left the line when she saw this. I used the sanitizing wipes they have by the entrance. I'll update if I become ill and delete if I don't. I know I'm being paranoid, but I want to cover my tracks in case I do.
