Unfortunately we are faced with this tough decision. First call with Dr. Saiki and it lasted about less than a minute. It’s hard enough to take the steps to make this call. We start with the hard decision we have made due to our pets health and start on the story a bit. We mention the age and Dr. Saiki repeats it back shocked. You’re in the business of this… and you repeat it back shocked? We are already struggling with it enough as it is and that is not an appropriate response for a vet that specializes in this. Dr Saiki then cuts us off (sounding a bit indifferent) and asks where we are located in the bay. We mention where we are and Dr. Saiki responds “oh yeaaa that’s 30 miles from me yea I dunno that’s pretty far I only make it up there certain days.” So casually like it’s an appliance to be fixed or a simple appointment to have. It was at this moment I ended the conversation promptly. The lack of compassion and professionalism was pretty astounding for a vet that specializes in this. Even if we are out of your “service area” that could be handled in a much more professional and kind manner due to the circumstances.

This is the second time we unfortunately had to use the services of Dr Saiki and we have nothing but the highest praise for her. This was an emergency call and she came over immediately and helped our 18 year old cat out of her suffering. She was professional, caring, efficient and kind.Do not hesitate to call her if you need to

Dr Saiki was quick to respond, same day service and made us feel at ease and comfortable during our sweet boys transition to heaven! Thank you for helping us send him off in the most peaceful and stress free environment possible, in his home, with his family!

In this most difficult of tasks faced by a pet owner, Dr. Saiki's professionalism was invaluable. She shepherded us through in our making this heart-wrenching decision and explained each stage of the procedure. Throughout the entire session her sensitivity and empathy were very comforting. Our heart-felt thanks goes out to her.

On a Monday evening I reached out to a company that my friend had referred me to that would send a veterinarian to our home to give our 20 year old "baby" a peaceful transition to heaven. The company called back in the morning and informed me that they didn't have any availability until Thursday. I knew that our kitty could not make it that long or if he did, he would be in very poor shape. I felt the point of making the very difficult decision to euthanize a pet was to have it happen in a timely manner. I made four more phone calls and some were out of town or the pricing was very high and the timing would not work for my kids to say their final goodbyes.Dr. Saiki wasn't able to answer the phone, but she texted me back within 10 minutes of my message and said she would be available in 30-45 min. She texted me when she was done with her appointment and I asked her if we could speak on the phone. She called me between appointments and we were able to schedule 3:00 p.m. which gave the kids time to be home and spend two hours with him.Dr. Saiki was running 15 min late, but sent me a text letting me know. She arrived with her medical bag and we filled out the paperwork for the cremation services and her services. She will take the pet, and take care of all the cremation piece so that you don't have to transport or figure all of that out. You also can schedule the return date of your pet in their urn. You should plan it for when you know you will be home since you need to sign for it.I knew we couldn't consider taking him to the vet office to have this done since he would have been so stressed to be transported there. His last two years of going to the vet hadn't been easy for him.We chose to have him in the place that he would feel safe and content. You will need a garbage bag and a towel or blanket to put under your pet. It can prevent any bladder or other issues. We didn't end up with any, but given that it was on our bed, it was safest to do it this way. He was surrounded by all of us giving him loves and hugs before she gave him the sedative to relax him. She then checked him numerous times to make sure he was completed "asleep" as if he would be able to have surgery. He had kidney disease so he started having some neurological twitching so she added a muscle relaxant the help him. When he was ready to get the final injection, we each gave him a final kiss and whispered in his ear how much we loved him. One of my children and myself left the room and my other child and husband remained with him to the very end.She took him and put him in a box to transport him to be picked up by the crematorium. Apparently, they will get all the pets in the area once a week. I was so grateful not to have to manage that process at all.She also did a paw print for us and left that with us. It takes about a week to fully harden.I can't thank Dr. Saiki enough for being available in a time that was beyond difficult for my family. She showed compassion toward our cat and said that we gave him a gift by having his final days be handled this way and not allowing him to die in pain and suffering. I just couldn't bear that at all. He was such an important part of my life for 20 years and I wanted his final days and hours to be with us and surrounded by us in a setting that he loved.I'm beyond grateful that there are services like this available. Dr. Saiki is a mobile veterinarian, so she can take care of your pet's other needs as well. We are very glad we chose her to help his transition into a better place and I do believe that I will see him again some day.

Dr. Saiki helped us through one of the most emotionally difficult parts of pet ownership - having to say goodbye. Having her come to our home to help ease Bella's transition was the best decision we could have made. She was honest and direct about the process, and clearly had a ton of compassion for what we were experiencing. I highly recommend her - she does an incredibly difficult job with excellence, skill, and compassion.

Dr. Saiki is a caring veterinarian who provides an emotionally supportive at home euthanasia service for our companion animals in their most dire time of need. We knew that our Basset Hound was nearing the end of his life and planned for his transition to occur at the office of the veterinarian who had cared for him for many years. Unfortunately when his time finally came on a holiday weekend our suffering poochie was unable to endure transport to his vet’s office during regular open hours. We knew that we needed to end his pain so we decided to look for an at home euthanasia service. After checking the internet and discovering Dr. Saiki’s testimonials we knew she was our preferred choice. Even though she had never met us before she called back within two hours after we left a message detailing the situation. She was able to set up an appointment to come and help ease our baby on his way. She explained the procedure, describing what we could typically expect at each stage, but also providing thorough information on possible atypical responses. Our hound had a very gentle peaceful passing. Dr. Saiki was able to prepare a pawprint keepsake for us in remembrance of our pooch and provide the same cremation services that are available at a traditional veterinary office. Her service helped to ease an emotionally wrenching situation. We are forever grateful.

Dr Saiki came to our home on short notice which we appreciated as our Abby had taken a hard turn for the worst. She cut out time the next morning early before her work day and I'm so happy we were able to say good bye in the comfort of our home. Dr Saike explained everything that was going to happen which I appreciated. I liked her bed side manner as she was compassionate but with a clinical edge that let me know she knew what she was doing and our girl was not going to suffer or feel any pain. I liked that she took a paw imprint and some cutting from her fur. I differently recommend Dr. Saike when it comes time to say goodbye to your fur Baby. T

We were so grateful to find Dr. Saiki. We were no previous clients of her, but she was willing to come to us last minute and even after her cut off time to leave for an appointment in the afternoon. Our aged and ailing female dog was getting worse quickly and it was apparent that we should not wait any longer to bring peace to her. Dr. Saiki agreed to drive to the Los Gatos Mountains and meet my husband at the top of our road. We live very remote off the grid and 4 miles down a dirt road.We were so grateful for her companionate and empathetic demeaner. Bailey's last moments couldn't have been more peaceful and loving. She drifted of to sleep with her animal brother close by and all the people she loved.Thank you again Dr. Saiki.

After the heartbreaking recognition that her time had come, we wanted our 19 year old cat to pass peacefully at home, so we called Dr. Saiki who arrived within 30 minutes. Dr. Saiki was compassionate and understanding, and explained the procedure and what we would see and what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Saiki to help you and your beloved fur-baby at such a difficult and heartbreaking time.

There is no better way to say goodbye. Dr. Saiki creates a peaceful transition. I have loved my animal companions greatly and always dread that day. I will always choose to give them this wonderful gift when their times come. Both Samson and Daphne would agree that Dr. Saiki makes crossing the rainbow bridge effortless.

Our dog declined more rapidly than expected and Dr Saiki was so wonderful. On the phone she was poliggt and straightforward with availability, price, options, and covid protocols. When she arrived she was on-time, calm, and explained what was going to happen. She was happy to go slow and make sure our beloved dogs passing was as peaceful and painless as possible. She listened to our stories of our dog and shared stories about her animals too. I would highly recommend for a calm, deeply caring vet at the end of your pets life.

This review is a bit late but I wanted to say thanks to Dr. Sakai for her willingness to help my little dog cross over the rainbow bridge. She was very senior with heart disease and her kidneys started failing too. She had not been able to eat much and had lost a lot of weight, and at the pet emergency room, they told me there was nothing more they could do. I really did not want to say goodbye to my dog in an emergency room so I took her home to find a vet to come to my home. It was the week between Christmas and New Year plus COVID restrictions and I live in the mountains. I could not find any vets willing to come to the house to help my dog...but then I found Dr. Sakai who said she would come. I am so thankful and grateful to her for her willingness to help us out in this very difficult time. I was able say goodbye to our little girl in at home which meant so much to me and I'm sure it was so much better for my dog too. Thank you for you compassion and help!
