Love this bookstore so much! It's by far one of the best used bookstores I've ever been in and the staff are so lovely. As another reviewer stated, the proceeds from this store help support the library and it's run by volunteers. Prices range from $1-$5 and the book selection/quality is excellent. After donating several of my books today, I decided to pick up a copy of "Normal People" by Sally Rooney; it's pretty much a brand new copy (only lightly-used) and it cost me $2. I'm so happy! Wonderful bookstore - highly recommend supporting/buying from here instead of mass retailers. Only bring cash or local check.

A clean, well-lighted place with loads of lightly-used books at ridiculously low prices. I just snagged a beautiful Kingsolver book for a dollar, and there's a sale on now. One grocery bag for $10. Amazing!

A wonderful place to browse for books, including classics and current fiction and non fiction. The volunteers are friendly and helpful and you cannot beat the prices. Completely staffed by volunteers, all books donated by the community, all proceeds to the LG library. A win win for everyone.

If you and your children are reading more than usual during the pandemic, this is the place to stock up on very affordable gently used books, audio books, and DVDs! Thousands of titles for young and old in a large welcoming store near the Los Gatos Library. I even found copies of this year's Silicon Valley Reads selections!

I have always loved bookstores - epecially ones where you can browse to your hearts content. The Friends Bookstore has always been that kind of store - with all kinds of books, even boxes of unshelved books that are fun to look through and find treasures. And to think the books have all been donated (many still on the Best Seller lists) by generous people and the prices are unbelievably inexpensive! This is ideal conservation and recycling - buy it, read it, donate it back to be sold again and again.

"Second hand books are wild books, homeless books; they have come together in vast flocks of variegated feather, and have a charm which the domesticated volumes of the library lack."―Virginia Woolf Used bookstore that helps support the next-door Los Gatos Town Library, with most books priced from $1-5 range. It's actually got quite a large selection, and the books are well-organized by content. The "employees" are all volunteers, so you get what you pay for. If you're ever in the area come check it out! Just be sure to bring cash or local check only. They also have an online Amazon bookstore to sell their pricier and luxury items, so check that out as well.

This is one of the best used library bookstores. It helps support the library and is run by volunteers. I have been donating and purchasing books here for years. The mass market paperbacks are in the main library and the rest of the books are across the lot in the other building. The community here has excellent readers so there are many good books that get donated here.

They are all volunteers. And yet they managed to earn a lot of money for the library programs especially those for children.
