IMHO I love visiting the Butter Paddle anytime I'm in downtown Los Gatos. I think all the ladies who work there are volunteers and are very welcoming and gracious to all visitors! This is a wonderful gift shop featuring beautiful glassware, home decor, stationery, children's toys and clothing, jewelry, some food items, purses, scarves, women's clothing, and seasonal items. The store is beautifully merchandised and eye-catching. Go visit, you will be delighted!

I came across this store looking for a Christmas gift for a dear friend. I found the loveliest silver colored nutcracker napkin holder that came with nutcracker napkins, as my friend loves nutcrackers. The volunteers working here were all very friendly. All proceeds go to a nonprofit organization, for more information go to their website. Very good quality gifts, they are a little bit pricey but pay for what you get. They wrapped my gift for no charge and now it's ready to present to my friend soon! I wish I could volunteer here but you need to be a member and I just don't have time to commit to 6 month provisionals. I would if I could-- sounds like a great organization, giving back to the community.

This is a great store to buy a gift for others and yourself. It feels so good to know all the profits go to help at risk children and their families. The selection is varied. They have jewelry, gourmet foods, candles, baby gifts, as well as designer items such as Mariposa and Annie Glass. Everyone who works there is a volunteer. I highly recommend you check it out. Peggy

The Butter Paddle is a treasure unlike any other. My mother and I visited the store while we were in Los Gatos for a wedding. The store was clean, decorated adorably, and the customer service went above and beyond. We had many favorites, but our absolute favorite were the duck figurines. If you are ever in the Downtown area of Los Gatos, make sure you stop by and ask for Linda!

The people who work here are really incompetent. I went to return a gift today ($80+) with a gift receipt and the two women working there couldn't figure out how to apply the credit to items I was going to exchange for. Instead they ended up refunding to my friends credit card who had gifted me the items. They didn't once apologize or come up with any solutions to fix the mistake. They just told me to contact my friend and let her know they had refunded her, which obviously I'm not going to do. I've never seen so much incompetence before. I won't be shopping here ever.

The Butter Paddle has been my go-to store for unique gifts for years and always fun to see what they have new! Their displays are beautifully arranged and wandering through the store, you’ll find a variety of gifts including seasonal, collectible, home goods, food items, jewelry and more. Even better, the store is a non-profit business run by friendly volunteers and their profits go to support children & families in crisis through Pacific Clinics. This store is one of the few remaining gift stores and a true gem in the heart of Los Gatos!

I love this store! There is something for everyone -- jewelry, food, hostess gifts, purses, scarves, candles and lots of home decorating items! Christmas is especially magical! And all the profits go for a good cause - helping children and their families with mental health treatment. The volunteers who run the store are so helpful - my favoritie place to shop!

I have been shopping at The Butter Paddle since its inception in Saratoga in 1967. Still use the cutting board and grater I received as bridal shower gifts! You will not find another store of this type with the most friendly staff/volunteers, personal, knowledgable service and such a wide variety of gift items for every occasion or just for you! As a non-profit store operated by volunteers in every capacity, 100% of the proceeds supports the children & families served by Pacific Clinics.
