I gave birth on 01/25/2024. The professionalism and care provided by the medical staff made my birth experience memorable. The doctors and nurses at the hospital were attentive, supportive, and skilled in ensuring a safe and comfortable delivery. The exceptional care I received during this special moment in my life speaks volumes about the dedication and expertise of the healthcare team at Memorial Hospital Los Banos. I'd especially like to mention by name Dr. Prophete, Dr. Wright, Dr. Paulsen, RN Rachel, RN Elisha, and RN Lisa who cared for me and my newborn. Thank you to all of the employees in labor and delivery. I've now had two great birth experiences at Memorial Hospital Los Banos.

Please understand that many of the " positive reviews " are very likely from individuals who are associated with a hospital employee which in my opinion is partisan. I will say that this ER has many problems from staffing shortage, inexperienced nurses, unprofessionalism and poor ethics to state a few. Some nurses and physicians tend to be retaliatory when confronted about the lack thereof marking your chart with derogatory comments. These notes travel with you every where through a information sharing system. You can see these notes in your after visit summary if you enroll in the Sutter Health MyChart app. I would advise visiting Modesto, Mountain View or Stanford if you can make the commute safely.

My elderly Mom had to be seen here. One of the worst experiences I've had, just trying to clarify discharge instructions. Staff is very rude. The nurse/respiratory therapist was condescending, & the guy at the discharge desk was very dismissive after witnessing my interaction with the nurse. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. After reading several other reviews, it's clearly nothing new how incompetent this place is. You would think hospital administration would at the very least try to rectify some of this. Keep things the way they are Memorial Hospital of LB, & before you know it, you'll have a lawsuit on your plate.

If you ever have the misfortune of falling ill in Los Banos, I pray for your safety. I've fallen ill and went to the ER because my throat began to close. I was no longer breathing properly, I remember feeling myself losing consciousness and my vision going dark. When I arrived, I asked for help and what'd they do? Sat me in a room alone for two hours with no help. While I attempted to keep myself conscious. They gave me Tylenol and sent me home. My S/O was there due to shoulder pain and mentioned if they would check her stomach as it was causing pain and a burning sensation. You're already with a doctor, you'd expect to be helped. What'd they do? Told her no and sent her home. I've lived in Los Banos for 7 years and been to most of the clinics in this town. I've never had a pleasant time with just about any of them and they all feel the same. That they're there for their paycheck and to leave, not because they care for any of us.

The emergency room saves lives. They saved my 83 year old father who was in critical condition. They did more than Memorial Hospital in Modesto did for him. He is still here because of the exceptional care he received while he was there.

Stay away from this hospital unless you have been hit by a train.... I went in because I was losing vision in my last good eye.... they didn't transfer me to a hospital with a opthamologisy on call, they just sent me home after ten hours of teesting to say that my heart/brain isnt causing the vision losss.... I am now legally blind ... avoid this hospital at all costs.. bad doctors... good nurses and very ery poor administration....

Literally the worst place to be. Staff are rude, they don't keep you updated. Waited almost 5 hours to see my partner and not a word. I would have a heart attack and drive an hour to Merced before ever coming back here. Juan the nurse there was extremely rude to my partner and really had that little man syndrome. He can eat rocks for all I give a care! DO NOT COME HERE!!

If you care of your loved ones you'll avoid this hospital. This is the worst place to come, you're better off driving an hour and a half to madera/Modesto/San Jose.

My nurses Volt and Rina were absolutely amazing and attentive. As far as the hospital overall completely sucked doctors are rude was hospitalized for 4 days didn’t eat or drink or poop and they still released me they blew 3 of my veins and I’m bruised completely. My first room had blood all over the floor and the surgeon was so rude DR WANG has no compassion worse experience ever and I’m usually not one to complain but never again will I go to this hospital. It’s so dirty. My night nurse zang he forgot to hook my machine and my blood sugar went down to 51 and he tried blaming everything but his self. I wouldn’t take a loved one here at all.

This is the worst hospital. Never once had a decent experience here, I've had multiple horrible experiences here(they prescribed my Grandmother medication that she was allergic to, clearly stated on charts, she went into shock so they sedated her and shipped her off to Modesto where she died in route). My husband went in for excruciating back pain, they gave him bottom of the barrel muscle relaxers and said it's because of the flu. Yes he has the flu but this has nothing to do with a work injury. They refused any kind of pain relief and refused to let him see a doctor. Two trips to the er, charging us $400 a visit after insurance and the receptionist literally told me "No" when I demanded he see a doctor not a nurse. How is an er charging and denying doctor care? I'm not paying hundreds of dollars to see a nurse. These people are not good people the staff here is disgusting. They don't care about people. My

DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES INTO THIS HOSPITAL My husband was brought here by ambulance because he was breathing heavy and hard and was very disoriented. I was not allowed in with him until hours later. All nurses agreed he should be intubated to let his lungs rest. Doctor said he didn't need it because he needed to let out all the toxics due to his keto acidosis. Later when doctors kicked his mother and I out of the room for a procedure we came back to see he was intubated and that everything went fine according to doctor. We transferred him to Modesto where they told us he had a respiratory failure minutes before he was intubated and he ended up brain dead. Doctors nor nurses in Los Banos told us about this! They heavily sedated him that same day so doctors in Modesto didn't even know until the next day waiting for him to wake up. Do not come here or bring your family here. They don't care for you. If you're even a little bit different they treat you like crap. If they cared even just a little bit maybe my husband would still be here.

I try not to go to this hospital anymore because the last time I went there several years ago I was filling fine but they had to do a simple procedure of draining a bump on my leg that was only supposed to take 1 hour and they completely screwed up and I was hospitalized for 6 days with fever, chills, and lots of pain. Now today which is sunday, I went in to the ER with chills, sweat, pain and I had a huge infected bump on my back and after they were done with taking my blood pressure and vitals just so they can get paid for something they told me that this was not an emergency and I needed to wait until I could schedule an appointment with my primary doctor so he could give me a referral so I could come back to them so they could do the procedure and get paid a second time. I always thought if you are in pain and you are having chills, sweats, and your primary doctor is closed they are supposed to help you but that wasn't the case for me. Now I am sitting hear at home in pain with this painful bump on my back and I am still not filling good and now I don't know what to do except wait and hope this infection doesn't spread to my blood which I think it already has and hope that I could get in to see my primary doctor with in a few days. THIS HOSPITAL IS BY FAR THE WORST HOSPITAL I EVER BEEN TO. I RECOMMEND IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE YOU SHOULD ALWAYS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Helpful caring staff doing good work for our friends and family. No one wants to visit their mom in a hospital, especially one in such a small town as Los Banos. From LA to LB, the hospitals I have visited in the last 5 years are under staffed, however the people at MHLB cared more about my Mom's wellness and recovery more than any high ranking LA facilities I have been to. Mom was in MLB for 6 days and was able heal and come back home to continue to recover. I was given outpatient resources and advise that proved valuable for her continued in home care. Thank you to the nurses and outpatient specialists at MLB. I have this hospital 4 Stars for the lack of Dr's at this hospital. Ask questions when at the hospital and get answers, your health and the lives of your loved ones depend on it.

The head nurse at night lies and tried to make up her own policy trying not to let me visit. When I showed her the policy she asked if I would like a superviser I said ya. Then. Told me that the supervisor was busy in ER.and that I could only stay 15 min when policy clearly said that you can have one visiter for the whole stay. Then I was told someone said I was going to bring alcohol to the person I was visiting.we told them they could test us to see if we were drinking and still I had to leave...
